1:57:16 The normal fire of the Flamethrower is really good against the Divider's body parts when they split. The fire wall effect also keeps the enemies stunned and away from you while you use other weapons on them. The fire wall effect doesn't work on Armored Necromorphs though, but the Force Gun can keep them off of you. Speaking of the Divider, severing the leg with a fan will immediately make it divide, allowing you to deal with the body parts immediately.

I'm glad they actually made the flamethrower abit more overpowered on this, on the original it was borderline useless, I do find they throw too much flamethrower ammo at you though, more so than other ammo types, atleast it did for me.

Wait was the forcegun good? I tried after I first got it, thing was borderline useless and I benched it for the rest of my run. Any situation I have that I'd rather have a linegun or ripper in my hand.

@@LeFisheboi The Forcegun helps against Armored Necromorphs and is helpful in the final encounter against the Hunter when you use the engine to burn him. It also helps in complementing the Flamethrower in keeping the enemies off of you.

I know I'm dividing my time to other games, but just trying to get through the game on hard, im getting my arse kicked. It's amazing you've memorized the game so well in such a short time that you can produce a no damage run. 50:48 Alongside the rods and fan blades in this room, there are also pipes on the ceiling and walls that can be identified by the blue lights at either end of the pipe. You can grab those with Kinesis and use them as impalement devices. Weirdly, the rods and the pipes cannot be used against the Armored Necromorphs. They just bounce off the Armored Necromorphs, yet Necromorph blades can impale them, which is confusing. 57:08 There is a table in that corner right next to that vent that you can destroy and get the rods from. Those rods can help against the two Lurkers as well as the two Necromorphs at 58:23. Using the rods on Lurkers will instantly kill them. Regular Lurkers can be killed instantly with Necromorph Blades, Rods, and Pipes. Fans, however, don't kill them instantly and they don't even react to being hit by the Fan. Black Lurkers require two Necromorph Blades to kill them. My personal preference when using weapons against Lurkers is to use the Pulse Rifle mines against them when they expose their tentacles. It saves time and it bypasses the issue where Lurkers can still fire at you even when you're shooting their tentacles. Fighting Lurkers in general is just a tedious task because in every game, when fighting them normally, they just path all over the place and you have to wait for them to expose their tentacles to do critical damage. They're very resilient to body shots despite being one of the tiniest enemies in the game. And the stomp does hardly any damage to them, yet regular Necromorphs can die fast from the stomp. Personally, I find the Remake's Lurkers to be the better Lurkers of the Dead Space games given that Impalement actually does something against them.

2:56:34 You don't have to wait for the Guardian to expose its tentacles before using the fire wall effect of the Flamethrower. You'll still get the instant kill. It's just that later on, some of the Guardian's have increased health, so it'll take a fire wall and a Pulse Rifle Mine to finish them off. I'm not sure if this was a thing in the other Dead Space games where there were enhanced Guardians as well.

4:28:02 That’s a great place to use the fire wall effect to bottleneck the enemies on that entrance. As the Leapers and Lurkers are coming through, you can keep them stunned and deal a lot of damage, preventing them from attacking you.

The censored bit is pretty funny. KZbin being youtube. Censor gory/suicide cutscenes but Blasting the skin and muscle off a necro with the force gun. A-Okay! Non the less this video was/is very enjoyable to watch/listen too. I didn't realize a whole 9 hours flew by! The remake looks very promising with lots of new things added, and hardly anything missing. Giving Isaac a voice is a HUGE win in my book, and having Gunner Wright Do the voice work is still a great call. I'll need to get around to Downloading this.....when I finally get actual internet and Not have to use Hotspot data. You did awesome here homie! I liked the no power node doors being replaced by the security system, but at the same time disliked it because of all the back tracking you have to do now. Also trying to remember lockers and chests with what clearance can be a real chore because unlike the doors they're not marked on the map. That is one of the very few gripes I have with the game. Such a great remake they did so well.

You can, in fact, dismember Infectors in the original. However, only their proboscus. If you see them mid-infect you can sever it by shooting it, which stops them from infecting altogether, the tradeoff being the infector gets aggressive and just tries to flat out kill you.
