I can't explain it but this song gives me an overwhelming sense of nostalgia for some reason

This is the song I put on when the day has just begun, the sun is shining, and I desperately want to run around outside in the grass like a little kid

Anyone know if this song is about drug addiction or is it his addiction to play in a punk band? Can’t help but feel like he could be singing about his time in One Man army 🤷♂️

Dead to me doesn't make me think California is a better place by any means, But they help me humanize it. I saw them live once in detroit and they had an obviously memorable stage presence that it literally makes their music better to this day. Otherwise, You all have fun falling into the Ocean.

i have been wondering since the song was published. today i tried to search and found it. It is apparently from this book: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinite_Jest here is the part: biblioklept.org/2013/03/22/your-first-nightmare-away-from-home-infinite-jest/
