Dead Wind & Different Waves SUP Session Surfing Lake Michigan

The wind kind of picked up mid way through the video but it was a unique morning indeed! The wind was still in that local area but still really strong out over the open water. That was sending a lot of waves in to shore but the lack of wind kind of worked against it! It allowed the waves to become less concentrated and more lumpy. Making their way to shore unorganized and without consistency. Unbound to the demands of the winds. This made the energy of the wave less focused. There were a lot of good looking sections that were difficult to get into! After seeing the footage this day I certainly have unfinished business on the outside. Both on the new SUP & a shortboard. There is barreling potential over there but personally I think it can get pretty heavy out there! Don’t let the love die in your heart! Best wishes…
