These videos are always very short and sweet. These videos are designed to plant a seed in someone's mind and then let them dig and find the information themselves. Very few people will sit through a 2 hour long lecture.

Scandinavia largely avoided the world words. Yes I know there was some bombing and devastation but it’s not comparable to what happened in the UK, Germany and especially Russia.

You can't compare 3 of the largest military powers of that time to 3 of the smallest military powers. Denmark, Norway and Sweden have around 20 million people COMBINED. Of course Russia, Germany and the UK saw the greatest devastation as they were also the ones best equipped to inflict it. There's a reason Germany saw France, Russia and the UK as its main enemies - they were simply the greatest threat to their ideology. Remember that the US didn't join WW2 until 1944 (before that they only supplied weapons and food for the UK). That was pretty much the case for Norway who provided oil for both Germany and the UK and Sweden who stayed neutral during the war but provided loads of steel for Germany. Denmark was invaded by Germany when they tried to regain control of the oil supplies from Norway which resulted in thousands of deaths and an economy in ruins. I don't think it's fair to say that Scandinavia did not feel the devastation of the war. Thousands and thousands of jews were smuggled out of Denmark to Sweden to save them from nazism. All of Europe felt the war and the horrors it caused. Also, if you wanna talk about the ultimate losers in both world wars (except for Germany ofc) look at France.

wikichris Idiot, in WW2 Norway was occupied and Finland fought the soviets, Sweden is the only one who just sat with half a foot in neutrality pretend land and the other half in Germany, while making money hand over fist. Finlands economy at the end of it was zero, I think Norway did a bit better, and Sweden was a dumb fat cat who then proceeded to destroy their country I guess to not miss out on the experience of the other 2.
