Dan Rico - had a musical style that was roughly a cross between the Los Lonely Boys Tex-Mex Latin Funk/Prog Rock trio and maybe even a bit of Jose Feliciano - in one, especially when I saw him perform at the old Cafe Mustache space (his favorite regular musical watering hole in Chicago).

Moreover - my two bits - he was probably going to be the new famous face of pop and rock later on - especially when he went to New York and finally went off the Chicago radar after moving out.
