Well… yes, but not without some fire. What’s a little engine fire among friends? This ‘64 Plymouth Belvedere is a pretty sweet unit, and hiding under the hood is a big block surprise. Oh, this video also features a bonus Honda Trail 70 revival, and Tom (who is not short) doing some sweet jumps out in the field. That’s a twofer! Does anyone actually read these things? If you do, drop an F in the comments

2, 4, and 5 door '64's! Those air deflectors with a grab handle are a cool feature. Does it have rear-facing 'tailgunner' 3rd row seating? Back in tbe era when your kids were an integral part of the energy-absorbing safety of the 'crumple zone'

Yeah- Hello HazMat!. Those Honda 70's were fun. From last Sunday- Hilborn makes new 340-360 Mech.F.I.- the tubes are big, and even larger & splayed out the W2/W5 on up port size- waaay too big for 273. Kinsler makes sb mopar Mech F.I. intakes- too large & modern looking. We as kids in the 70's could get big boxes of old '60's & early 70's car magazines at garage sales for under a buck- I seem to remember the smallport 273/318 Hilborn units havng close vertical tubes like the 283 Chevy Hilborn units of the era. If Adam's still has his shop in SoCal- he would know infinitely more. Those boxes of old magazines- critters in the attic used'em as nesting and bathroom material.

Love this Plymouth Wagon! I see some familiar things with it that bring back some fond memories of my Grandfather's Dodge Polara! He drove it for 30 years! I revived the engine but by the time I got to working on it, her frame was gone. Saved the engine, saved as much parts as possible, scrapped the rest. I am a BIG fan of Vice Grip Garage, Junkyard Digs, Mortske Repair, and Retired. As a MOPAR and Ford man, you have a new Subscriber! Much Love!

Max Wedge 318 engines wasn't to awful bad cause my brother and dad had several of em but I don't know what kind of gas mileage they got cause gas was only 30 to 50 cents a gallon back in the 60s and 70s and nobody cared about mileage lol...I think my brother put a bigger cam and a 4barrel intake and carb on a Dodge the same year as the car your workn on and it was fast that's 4sure lol..I always thought the big 318s looked odd with a tiny 2barrel carburator on em..I'm a station wagon fan and I always have been cause back in the day those was same as a camper and the big ol car's with a huge trunks worked good with a tarp and a mattress in the trunk lol..

@@DeadDodgeGarage Thank you. I recently saw a 60's wagon for sale at the winterswapmeet, so this vid caught my attention (alas, no trailbike for me, just a 1973 Honda CB350 4 banger in green). I suspect you've seen a few VGG's in your life, but this would be a nice project to keep in patina, "straighten" out the front end, ditch the single pot master and use the trunk space to pull home some leather couches for free to redo the interior.
