Some people think I’m morbid watching your videos but I actually find them reassuring in a way. We all end up somewhere like this no matter what we achieve or how much money we have. We’re all just doing our best with our lot in life. Thank you!

I don't think it's really bad to see the resting places of children. They should have some attention and remembrance along with the others. Thank you again for a great video. You bring so much more than just videos as you make the experience much more than just a documentary, facts only report. Your voice is perfect for this also, soothing with a bit of humour to offset the walk

Another great video, it's sad when there is no one left to tend the graves.. when my Brother and I pass there will be no one to tend our Parents grave.. Our children are all in their 50's now nearly and most don't even remember their grandparents.

Once the family dies out There is no one to maintain the graves or maintenance That’s why you see some parts of the a cemetery in good condition and maintained and other parts crumbling to decay Nevertheless a great video 👍 I hope you can do more videos this depends on funding your trip

This place is easily 100+ years old and maintenance for places like this is paid for with proceeds from selling plots and I imagine there haven't been any sold here in decades.

Well, I must have missed the name of this place. Still very unique, like you had entered a somewhat messy fairy land for babies at first. Then we come along to very tall and grandiose masoleums. It really blows my mind at times. Italy is definitely amazing as far as cemeteries go. Thank you so much Dan! ♥️☘️

For the large mausoleum at about minute 14:20, unsure if I found correct info but I googled Giorgio Ottone and IMDb listed him as a film producer. I also found a Wikipedia article about family of Italian Nobility named “Malaspina” (bad thorn) and the “Dry Thorn” branch of the family lists the name “Ottone”
@PurlingQueen6 күн бұрын
I can't find anything on Giorgio Ottone either. I only find other people wondering who he was. It's odd. He was obviously very wealthy, but there is no legacy or mention of him on the web. He seemed to be buried alone with no wife or kids. When you panned the camera down to the crypt, it looked like he was the only one buried there. I kind of get the feeling he was scrubbed out of history somehow. I will keep looking because this piqued my interest.
@AndreaAlexandroNal6 күн бұрын
The tomb is famous because it was designed by the architect M. Crotta in 1897 in a neo-Gothic style inspired by the cathedral of Genoa, but in fact, although the tomb is also mentioned in some degree theses, I don't know who the owner is.

The Mausoleums are so beautiful on the outside, but some are just terrible inside, but others are even more beautiful inside! And if they didn't want you to look inside, they would fill the doorways with concrete and keep everyone out...

At: 4:25/14:59 If you cove the statue's head with your finger -- it looks like a sad face. Please be careful -- some stairs & stairways don't look very safe. The last one was huge!!! The cost of building it and the other's - wow! I wonder how much might be put a side to the mantaining their up- keep -- if any. It's a shame that over grown section isn't maintained. So they don't have fancy statue's -- those in that section deserve to be respected & remembered-- At least because of this video 'we' can say some prayer's for them.🍺🙂/🎩 "Cheer's Dan!"

Hi there I just want to make a quick comic about what you just said about being in the cemetery or the more going into the more celium and getting in trouble shouldn't you already look that up on what the actual laws are before you went to Italy but to be absolutely honest with you look at the place it's almost derelict it's like they don't give a s*** about the place that shows you just how disrespectful today some people are again I think it's a sort of the same here in this country
