Hi! Maybe a silly question...I own a bandit 112 red stripe.. same as yours... Has no reverb tank.. not even cables connected to de board... Nude pins. Another user told me is safe using the amp without reverb tank. So, I covered that square hole in the chassis (made for connecting the reverb cables) glueing a piece of plastic. The reason I do is for not touchin accidentally these pins. My question is.. may overheat the amp because of this? I mean, having no holes where air goes into for cooling.

It shouldn't be a big deal if the reverb pan is missing.

Did you post this video specifically for me and my Peavey Envoy?? Thank you for this. Can you do one where you switch out the reverb tank?
@DeadKoby3 жыл бұрын
I would need one that needed a reverb tank. If you look, I have a teal stripe bandit on here that was from an estate. Missing the reverb and cables. found the parts and installed it. There's also a reverb tank change on a Traynor, and a Laney........that I can remember.

@@DeadKoby I know the Traynor reverb tank is much loved on my guitar forum. I believed it's a physical spring reverb. I haven't found one with a shimmer reverb, which is what I want. But also, I haven't looked very hard yet.

You should be able to get a standard reverb tank from Mod or Accutronics that will work. Look at the vendor Amplified Parts.

I need to replace the lead mid pot in my bandit. I have a problem finding original pot, do you know maybe what kind of substitute can I use?

I bet one of these will work. www.amplifiedparts.com/products/potentiometers_0?filters=2341a2423

Is there a shimmer reverb tank, or any kind of octave reverb tank? I need to do this signal dropout fix, so might as well as get the reverb type that I like.

Most tanks sound similar. Some are brighter and some are darker. Just make sure you get the proper impedance. Use the original tank's model for reference.

Hi I'm going to pick up a silver stripe tomorrow do you know if the transtube is easy to find for replacement
@DeadKoby3 жыл бұрын
Theres no tube to replace. The term just means that it sounds like a tube amp even though it's made of transistors

@@DeadKoby OK thanks for reply hopefully it's all in working order when I check it out 👍

Older Peavey amps are usually pretty durable. You may just need to clean the controls and it'll be ready to rock.
