I had a father figure that was a lot like Phil. Mine passed in 2009. One thing I can say is that these men are irreplaceable and your lucky if you have one in your lifetime. When I seen DC for the first time,I immediately fell in love with the family of the Cornelia Marie and felt the loss with them. I pray that one day Jake finds his way and gives up the drugs.

Phil Harris has/had a very quite voice even in anger, love that crew and others great job feeding the world that can afford them (not rudely said) keep up that good work... I am a woman I love to watch this fishing show because I am unable to do that kind of fishing..

Because, unlike other "reality TV" shows, there is no need to "construct" trouble for drama. this IS as real as it gets. If you think they don't either orchestrate or instigate a problem your are nieve. But This and Ice Pilots and Ice Road Truckers.... it's as real as it gets. Deadliest being #1 for real danger. This is REAL ....tv.
