I have three swords from the warrior series I love them I have the wakizashi, chisa katana amd katana no flaws just a burr and a bit of stripping it cuts like hell well done Cold steel Proud owner for 9 years.

Have owned Chisa Katana for years and it is a great beater sword. It has of course been sharpened way beyond factory sharp. I can cut 2 inch Oak limbs in half with one swing. You are not going to break it. I have tried cutting 2x4 4x4 and still can’t bend it or break it. Maybe I should make an Video? I also collect antique Nihonto as well. May not be as balanced as my Koto era =1500’s Fuyuhiro Nihonto but I would bet my life on this blade. Definitely a Dotanuki Katana in my book. You want a sword that is extremely tough and can handle any other sword put against it? Get one! My only complaint is you will need to lacquer the Tsuka Ito to keep it from loosing its shape. Otherwise a Amazing cutting instrument. Definitely will buy another one. Looking into a O-Katana next. Thank you Coldsteel!

The Chisa is my absolute favorite Sword in the Cold Steel lineup. I teach CQB and I often demonstrate the effectiveness of a short sword in the CQB environment, which has forced many to rethink the application of edged weapons in modern combat. As I continually explain to those who feel swords or edged weapons are obsolete swords don't run out of ammo and they don't make noise. I've managed to sway the thoughts of USN SEAL's, USMC, USA Rangers, SWAT officers and several in the USAF to applying edged weapons to CQB training.

@@jujitusuka Yes, but you'll need a rubber mallet, a punch for the two bamboo pins and a block of wood to ease the blade from the grip.

I love the concept of having a kitana but with all of my physical limitations, it just wouldn't be realistic for me to carry. The Leatherneck on the other hand would be a great addition to my collection!!

No, it wouldn't come out the ribs with a diagonal cross body cut, however it would probably at least shatter the collar bone and imbed in the sternum, after severing a number of vital arteries and organs....which would of course produce the same end result as separating a human into two halves.

Stickman’s been practicing! I’ve always wanted the Chisa Katana, never bought one. I do have the Chinese War Sword and the 1917 Cutlass, both are amazing. I’m still hoping the Cold Steel legacy continues, I’d be sick to see it fall to BudK flea market trash. And please ignore the trolls who don’t like the stunning young woman. She’s one of the most beautiful women ever, surely can’t hurt the marketing effort.

There is nothing more appealing and convincing to a potential buyer than a ballistic torso getting brutally annihilated with fake blood spilling everywhere, sadly this kind of test was not included in this video. The katana is still pretty sick.
