If you want to look again - if it gives you peace - watch up about Neuvilette from genshin impact, watch his character introduction (the animated one) and listen closely. Also Look at Alphen from Tales of Arise or Noctis from FF15, its also the same guy who voices Krill of Moe and Krill.

that'd be kinda jarring for those who dont know or care about the lore. As much as i love matt mercer's voice, i'd much prefer to only listen solely to the character i'm playing as. It also kinda ruins the fantasy of playing a female character when there's suddenly an inner monologue of some guy lmao, its like watching a cute vtuber for the first time only to realize she's playing with her male friends 😭. I have issue i know

Actually a cool idea and way better than something like Crownfall. Shame that the implied complexity and alternative (free) difficult to make cosmetics all but guarantee that either we won't see it in game, won't be made for more than a couple of heroes, or just straight up will be stripped down significantly upon release.

@@DoktorBeta except this is valve and they're not very fond of constant work the likes of which these vn mode would develop. See crownfall for example; way, wayy simpler to make, rewards that don't really correlate with anything from the event, a story that really barely relates to the event dialogue itself... and theyre still late by over 2 months (not counting the entire year it took them to develop). Now imagine them doing this for every new hero. I can't.

@@DoktorBeta Like OP, I don't think they're gonna do this, but I would absolutely buy it if they did. A short little visual novel that gives context to the skins would be a great incentive to buy a cometics pack and in my mind, would actually make it worth the money as supposed to just buying skins and nothing else.

@@Tulip_bip if you go to "map dl_streets" and type "citadel_book_open [id]", you will access those novel trees in the pause menu. id 1 is for lady geist, 3 is for ivy, 4 is for holliday. So yeah, we're getting every hero story novel.

I mean, it's just some voice in a game, so I don't mean to fight over this, but as someone who knows Matt and his little vocal idiosyncracies really well, this sounds so much like him, it could only be someone else if that someone was delibarately doing a Matt Mercer impression (which, of course, is possible). Also, I looked up some clips for Ray Chase and I don't really see the voice similarities to this at all. But again, I don't wanna be chronically online about this and I'm not gonna die on this hill.
