49:40 So there was a bloodbath scene in Smackdown 1. It was, however, just gangrel kicking and stomping on someone outside the ring, with the lights flashing red. It cuts to black, and the lights come back on and the screen says "wrestler has just been the victim of a bloodbath" This cutscene is incredibly rare though, and in 22 years of playing that game, I've gotten it one time

@@GabeAllz57 Apparently someone has looked into the game files before, and the cutscene does exist, although it says it's glitchy and was unused in the final release...which only adds to it being even more rare. I don't think it's supposed to ever show up...even though I can speak from experience when I say, it definitely does

Little second hand watching, yes it was called the stroke by jerry lawler and jim ross multiple times from the first time he debuted with Tennessee Lee. Im not looking it up right now but im pretty sure its based off the musical stylings of strut type songs. Basically the musician plays instead of sings and the drums and bass give the tempo and a harmony to set the key with of the song the lead gets to shine and show off like a country music version of van halens eruption. Jarret seems smart enough to try and make those connections anyway, i could be giving it too much thought but theres also a song called the stroke which was popular in the 70s/80s which is another place Jarrett could have come from with the idea. It was just a russian leg sweep and it was called that unless jeff was the one doing it then it was the stroke

@silverzombie4477 ehhh, I hope you have the network/peacock and have gone back and watched it when it was great. Granted, there were a couple moments in that time frame you mentioned, but they were few, and far between, I would imagine. I was checked out by then after watching from 98-05ish. I checked back in around 2016 and have been fairly consistent since then. Thank god for all the changes in the last couple of years.
