Does the Asian Lion ever meet the Bengal Tiger in the wild?
@tommosley28442 ай бұрын
Before the Asiatic lion was nearly wiped out by Big game Hunter's, there were approximately 11 areas where the Lions and tigers territory's over lapped. Whenever the Lions were in town the tigers retreated. According to Kailash Sankhala, the Indian biologist, AKA the tiger man of India, it was a cake walk for the Lions.
@steinhvik30572 ай бұрын
@tommosley2844 Thanks! I guess its because the Lions Venture in packs.
@tommosley28442 ай бұрын
@steinhvik3057 Not necessarily so. K Sankhala also witnessed a pit fight between an Indian tiger and lion and the lion killed the tiger, confirming his theory that the lion was the superior fighter. Google search " tiger vs lion breaking news and updates page 94" scroll down and read the article for yourself. Also, the Asiatic lion was the original national symbol of India. It wasn't until the early 1970s when there were only 20 lions left in the wild, did the Indian government make the tiger the new national symbol of India.

The english expression "on the prowl" is nothing more than the englanders failing to pronounce the French word "proie" and coming up with a duck like slur because they can't articulate 'r' and cannot make a clean stop on vowel a. So the French "proie" (correctly pronounced proâ with an abrupt stop after the a) becomes prowl.
