USA is bleeding out Russia so they sanctions destroy its industry . Without investment and training all its elderly knowledge based workers will go to god and the youth won’t be trained . So the longer this war goes on the bigger the collapse for Russia. It’s unfortunate the Ukrainians did not get the weapons or air protection they needed but the USA is in the killing business and it’s oligarchs are vying for control of its resources. Stuart Baker, Hopefully Russia will use up most of it's bullets and artillery rounds in Bakhmut and not have enough left to fight this summer! It seems like Wagner and the regular Russian Army are looking for more Artillery rounds. Lets hope they are piled up in a huge mountain, then hit by a incoming missile! Back in WW1, the British shelled a position with about 3,000 rounds per minute for a hour, then send the men over the hill. Sadly the Germans sat deep underground, somewhat safe, and then when the shelling stops, they go up to their waiting machine guns and mow down the men coming forward!

There is a very long tradition in Russia of the "appeal to the Tsar," which is echoed in the language the soldiers use when appealing to Putin (like how they state his name etc.). From wikipedia: "Previously the tsar had been seen as the champion of the people: in dire situations, the masses would appeal to the tsar, traditionally through a petition,, and the tsar would respond to his people promising to set things right. The lower classes placed their faith in the tsar." Despite bloody Sunday (1905), it has remained the ostensible almost sole way that Russians could express any agency over the decades.

Trump DID say "worst case", so he understands there are a number of variables involved. But even though his administration did have considerable success in defusing tensions between Israel and some Arab states, from that he should understand that this is a much "hotter" conflict, and since both sides think they can "win"*, and are so far apart, even if there is a negotiated solution, it would take considerable time to work out. Israel's Bennet thought he had a solution, but after listening to him discuss it for hours, there were still large gaps in his proposals, which he has alluded to learning more of... *Note: IMO, Russia's real reason for invading is as a sort of military solution to the socio-economic threat that a westernized and quite likely successful Ukraine under the EU's wing (economic growth from resource development and curtailment of corruption) would have created for the Russian elites / leadership while protected by NATO. This threat is much greater from Ukraine than, say, the Baltic countries because of both Ukraine's great potential to grow, it's much larger pre-war population than the Baltic states, and because so many families have, er, had, ties between Ukraine and Russia. Russian leadership's mindset has never really progressed beyond the days of the writing of the 1812 Overture (with cannon!), so, Russian leaders cannot comprehend how to react to the modern world and keep their power, without resorting to their bred in the bone imperialism / brutal aggression. "Worst case" for Russia NOW may be to drag the war out so that the West tires of it, and accepts a solution where maybe borders DO go back to 2014, but Russia does not have to pay reparations, and Ukrainians and Russians are so embittered at each other that those family ties have been replaced with seething hatred. This would accomplish the isolation between Russia and a westernizing Ukraine that Russian leadership thinks it needs to survive.

One possible counter to Russian influence in Moldova is for Ukraine to help Moldova. It would be easy to make the case that they are grateful to Moldova for housing Ukrainian refugees and Ukraine would like to help Moldova grow economically. Since Russia will be in no position to help Moldova financially for a while, Ukraine may be able to rebuild quickly enough to be able to share in any economic growth.

54:00 Omg, please take a Putin double, a President Zelenskyy double (or himself after the war) plus other important characters involved and make a James Bond movie with all of them! It should end with the idea of the commentator's username "Putin will hang in the middle of the Kremlin" and it should be done by the Russians themselves ... maybe with Ukrainians, Poles, Georgians, Chechens and other formerly suppressed ex-iron curtain communities helping them to find the right ways to accomplish this goal!

VHS cassette tapes hold 10 trillion times more data then a digital camera. Film absorbs all of the data... Digital cameras collect very little.. that's why digital cameras suck compared to film cameras.
@Peter_S_
@Peter_S_ Жыл бұрын
That is not true at all. A microSD card can hold 2 Terabytes these days which is the equivalent of 240 VHS cassettes. Generally, the standard VHS tape has a capacity of up to 8.3GB. Also, modern professional image sensors have smaller pixel size, larger resolution, and higher dynamic range than film for most uses. Film holds an edge in a lower and lower number of cases every day and most chemical film manufacture has been discontinued.

forget about the drones self destructing what about f35s or typhoons protecting nato/u.s assets been scrambled inside international airspace , 40min attack too short to get friendly forces to make su-27s disengage a clear provocation ? im not saying to attack but at least be around and let russia know its limitations of what we will tolerate . thats a victory for them , 2 f35s would have stopped that immediatley , without a shot been fired russian pilots aint that stupid if politely asked to go or else

The Bachmut stalemate may be the consequence of the sunk-cost-fallacy, where Ukraine poured so many lives into defending the city that retreating now would most certainly obliterate the value of their sacrifices.

I don’t think this is how it’s seen. For one thing they are not trying to save the city. It’s already destroyed. It’s thought that Zelensky doesn’t want to see this happen to another city. My personal suspicion is that he doesn’t want to give the Russians a morale boost ahead of their counter offensive.

@@marymarlow3646 Looking at the roads and rail, Bakhmut is a good spot from which to attack to the North, and clockwise (eastward) around to the South, into Russian held territories. That is, a force in Bakhmut can attack along one of several roads, causing Russia to have to place many troops in a defensive arc. If Russia holds Bakhmut, it requires fewer troops to defend the "East."

The Russians have expended far more effort, materiel and soldiers' lives in their effort to seize Bakhmut. The sunk cost is by Russia. They are suffering many hundreds of soldiers dead every day there.

A huge unseen war in eastern Ukraine where people are putting cameras on things. Lol These are some headlines from Ukraine on the ground except neither of the first two storeys are in Ukraine. And for every camera found there are 500 probably somewhere else.
