Probably it's the matter of being ready. If one is not completly ready to embrace new ideas, you listen like trying to lerarn them by heart, that is why there is a feeling like it's not being received, didn't sink. The fact is that how much can we comprehend from any teaching, ideas, new knowledge - depends on if we are ready. If we have enough own lingering thougths that crystallize by learning from others. Like, you can't read if you don't learn letters first. The narattor isn't speaking too fast, at least in my impression, if one can't naturally inderstand, it means you don't have enough of inner material to follow up. I have an experiance with one book which demonstrates this well: at first reading I thought: hmm, interesting book.. but it didn't tell me much, I didn't resonate with it and understand well what author tried to tell... After a year I got an impulse: let me read that book again... I did. And it was like world turned upside down for me, suddenly my mind opened and was pushed on another level of understanding the world... In that year I changed enough to be able to accept new ideas in that book. So, it's not the problem of narrator but the problem of our ability to embrace what narratory is saying. Changes in our perception and understanding don't happen by big jumps but grow step by step by building our awareness and changing the way we think. We are often unwilling to go out of our comfort zone and seek reasons outside, like narrator speaking to fast, but real cause is that we resist what she is saying. It takes time to change ourselves and impatience only blocks the progress. More you contemplate and are honest with yourself, not hiding, not looking for excuses, overcoming fears - more one can progress and elevate own life. It comes naturally because we trully changed not just tried to learn it on the surface.
