they say being stabbed is extremely painful, just imagine the amplification of the blade being recently taken out of a forge and is as hot as molten lava too, incinerating your nerves as well as severing them. sounds dreadful, but that's likely what the closest example of a "lightsaber" wound could feel like given in star wars universe the blade instantly cauterizes wounds. but yeah... hard to say if it hurts THAT much, regardless it sounds like the type of pain you'd be pissed off to hear someone nearby downplaying it by saying something else feels worse, thats for certain. not to be the unpopular guy at parties but you know when i think about it, the string might even hurt worse overall and be more of an agonizing experience; a molten-hot hyper-sharp blade is destructive and dangerous but i think adrenaline and the fact you'll pass out from mortally fatal wounds very quickly is a fair counterpoint to a biological chemical weapon that is strictly designed to fire off pain-inducing stimulus and optimized for such a purpose, like min-maxing the suffering/agony one would experience, over as long as possible without directly making you lose consciousness etc. but i'm losing track, basically it hurts a lot

Praying mantis is a top predator and will defeat most insects/bugs that are about the same size. That's why you will see many videos of praying mantis fighting giant spiders, scorpions, centipedes, and katydids, because they don't want the mantis to win. However, for the same size, I admit the japanese hornet might defeat the mantis, and the bombardier beetle is too small but can successfully defend itself against the mantis.

I had a Frightening experience the first time I encountered a praying mantis. I was 6 years old wasn’t messing with it. I was just looking at it and I didn’t know they had wings and it was rocking back-and-forth, staring me. Then all of a sudden it leaped on my head got caught in my hair and every time I reached for it it bit me and it bites can hurt a lot which my father didn’t believe me until he got bit by one but finally I got off of my head, but I’ve been freaked out by them ever since. Thankfully, I don’t have to worry about them that much where I live because I have a lot of Bats, European hornets and pretty big spiders where I live. But one time about two years ago, I walked outside and noticed one was living in the numbers of my house. I didn’t try to get it to leave because I thought it would stop all the stink bugs from coming in, but it didn’t it Would just stand and stare at me so finally after five days I went out and from quite a different distance away And told it it had 48 hours to leave Or I was gonna come after it with a broom. 12 hours later I walked outside and it was gone. Tell me that’s not freaky that you tell the bug to get lost and understand you.

4:52 this applies to almost any species of scolopendra. the large mantis has little chance even against the common scolopendra cingulata and the scolopendra Amazon Gigantea one is stronger than all insects and arachnids and there are MANY insects that can defeat a praying mantis if you judge it that way, a praying mantis is pretty weak in battle its only weapons are two grasping paws and weak jaws (weaker even than a house cricket) it is tender and fragile
