How do you know? He might have caused it in the first place. "Turbulence"is only a media spin. We don`t know what really happened other than the plane suddenly lost altitude.

Oh it’s basically happened to me once. We all heard a deafening bang from one of the engines, flight staff ran to buckle up, and they made no announcements until we finally spiraled back to the runway. They claimed a bird flying into it. I can confirm that all of us were whispering prayers. It wasn’t chaotic screaming. I looked at my fiancé who not once glanced up from his vacation itinerary I said “I think we’re about to die” and he said “well there’s nothing we can do.” I just leaned back and closed my eyes until we safely landed back.

Every single flight “drops” for at least 4 minutes. That’s a mistake in reporting. That “drop” was several minutes after the turbulence itself and was at a gentle 1,200ft per minute, a normal decent rate. They were actually just descending into Bangkok.

Normally turbulence is associated with moisture raising and sinking in a weather system. Clear air turbulence is just raising and sinking air with no moisture. An airplane’s modern weather radar can detect water droplets using Doppler radar to detect weather turbulence, but not clear air turbulence.

I'm thinking along similar lines too, but not about whether items fell off the plane mentioned in this clip. I think that there could be some kind of cover up going on about this event, and I'm wondering if pieces from a Boeing flying above this Singapore Airlines flight had fallen off, and fallen into it, then causing a huge violent shaking and littering the cabin with high speed items from that Boeing, hence causing all of these injuries the have been reported.

I REALLY hope the dullards that weren't wearing their seatbelts and got injured don't get a dime out of the inevitable lawsuits they bring toward the airline. I can't grasp why people will sit in their seats on a flight and NOT wear their seatbelt. It's entirely their fault they were injured. Turbulence isn't something that pilots can DETECT, all they can go off of is previous flights through turbulent air letting them know ahead of time.

Singapore Airlines has a famous service reputation....Safety another matter....When a Singapore 747 crashed while on a runway under construction in Taipei around 2000....survivors described futile efforts by the crew....and I believe Silk air(a former sub...merged back into SQ) had a deadly crash in Indonesia in 1997.....of course you could choose Malaysia Air..... and get shot down or disappear......
