As a console player, I wish that there was some way to get this type of experience on Console Gaming, I honestly would go PC but I don't know what the hell I'm doing so I'd probably mess it up. The Deadly Weapons mod is fantastic, though.

@@Kaltagstar96 yeah man I used to be strictly console and the main reason I didn’t switch was because of how damn expensive a good gaming PC is. You can start off with cheaper components and upgrade them over time to spread out the cost. Building a gaming PC isn’t hard, finding the correct parts is the hardest part. From there, you literally just screw the motherboard down, and just plug in everything else. It’s pretty easy. KZbin has a wealth of tutorials.

Don't know if you will see this but if you press "N" and change the pursuit tactics to "Tracking" It will make the AI a lot more cautious and they will stay back behind you and let you take primary. In my experience, It's a lot better than having them randomly take primary and fly past you to try and PIT. Even if you change their tactics to not do so, They will often try to do so.

You can also turn off use of tactics in the same menu for a similar result

I recently completely redid my install of LSPDFR and started using a decent number of the mods on benzo's mod list and it has been a huge help for finding call outs that are up to date along with other useful tools to make it a breeze to get back into LSPDFR.

I think you should turn on unlimited stamina, it’ll making chasing suspects and their takedowns more suspenseful. It seems kind of silly if you’re about to catch them, but then you run out of stamina; and then the suspect just keeps going like they’re super human. It might be worth it if you have that one mod that if you lose a suspect, you might find them again. Great video, it gives something different that’s missing from the other police content.

Just an FYI, with grammar police you can customize what you have to say for different commands like requesting backup for example. You just need to edit the xmls. It’s a bit of a pain but so worth it once it’s done. You can also call in “shots fired” to dispatch, dispatch will send many units, pretty realistic. Also for deadly weapons, it does have options in the ini to change how the ai acts, so maybe disabling those might fix potential conflicts

It's the little things, like the obligatory unit sitting there complaining and blaring his horn/siren because "yer obstructin' the LAW!" by existing, that remind me why I love LSPDFR so much. So glad to see it back ... thanks for all you do Jeff. :)

All of my best LSPDFR moments came from using Deadly Weapons. It's insane the realism and fear it adds: I literally conducted a normal traffic stop on the highway and the driver jumped straight out and capped me instantly. Then, because I had the mod that lets the game play on after you die, I got to watch the perp literally come up to me, shoot my body twice more, and then drive away!! It was SO chilling and realistic. LSPDFR can be goofy, but this mod really ups the ante as you found out, Jeff!

Jeff you are awesome!! You interact with your fans and take suggestions which can’t be said about all KZbinrs. Great episode! When you get the hang of grammar police and all the things you can say it’s great. You can also choose different sets of things you can say with different files and stuff (realistic codes etc) The dev of the mod has a video to guide you through it if you need, because it can be a little confusing at first Also, to initiate a pursuit, you need to hold down the right stick. Calling it in to Grammar Police is just to make you busy and not receive calls and it makes your ‘status’ ‘in pursuit’ when you have grammar police’s status text on the screen, which is also a nice feature of the mod. It’s been a while :)

I liked this video, but I definitely like the ocrp better. I think it’s because when you have ai backup units, they’re unpredictable vs. rp players who communicate much better. Just my opinion. Loved the video though Jeff! Love your content mate!
