Love the feedback ! We started 4 months ago and have been continuing to work on our mixtures and scents. I own a barbershop and got burnt by another company who I use to carry in my shop and that sparked an idea overnight to just make our own. We dove Into the world of beard oil and have used our shop as a testing ground as far as scents go and have adapted according to feedback. Your feedback is amazing, we will definitely be working on some of the things you brought up. We have already before this video made some changes already with our website, and labels and so on. We have also been testing new scent mixtures and simplifying some and creating 2 new ones. One of which has mint in it were very excited about. The oil mixtures we use are partially due to my allergies lol. I get hives from coconut oil, almond oil and avocado oil 😅 so I wanted something I could use woth no issues. We are continuing to look into and test other mixtures and can't wait to send you version 2 of our stuff ! Thank you for the knowledge and platform to help us better ourselves and our beards! Greatly appreciate your time and keep on killing it! Please stay in touch 🙏

Great video. I'm happy to see you help thse new companies out with the feedback and look out for their best interests. 😊

I absolutely agree with altering or removing that "Confusing Ingredients" section. There are better ways to approach that without belittling other companies which could be a turn off to potential customers, especially the ones that are knowledgeable on carrier oils. There are so many great beard companies that do not have cryptic or confusing ingredients. Focusing on and expressing what makes your product unique is 100% the way to go. And by the way, no knock on Deadman at all, I'm always excited to see a new up-and-coming beard company!

Man, looking back at their old direction. so glad they took the constructive criticism to heart. The new art direction is a stroke of genius and the new carrier blend is juat about everything I could ask for Also 100% agree that every company needs a scent list on their website. It is by far my biggest pet peeve with some companies (i love magic city, but man it takes forever to figure out what each oil is supposed to smell like)

Appreciate you bringing a new company to the community. Great overall feedback and agree 100%. I like the company name. When I first saw the branding I did think of Grave before Shave with the logos. I did go to the website and a scent list is a must. Found it difficult to find the ingredients list. Great feedback on a new company and hopefully they will make some minor adjustments recommended

Ingredients= jojoba argan grape seed castor They criticize other beard brand's oil ingredients , then use what everyone else uses? Most other beard companies' oils are 1 oz. This company does 2 ounces so the $30 a bottle is a little less than average.

@@skyizz069 Ya, I was going to reference the crap Gillette and Proctor and Gamble comes up with for beard oil. And they have an infinite amount to spend on R & D. Those guys could just copy a small batch co's ingredients, and blow them away on mass efficiency and price. You say you spent 4 months tinkering with your formula? I've spent 18 months, and still haven't come up with the optimum.

I agree with an about us section too! Not really a fan of the whole everybody sucks I will do it better... Not having the scent names or profile on the bottle is really odd to me. It's like they didn't really do much research before creating these. The website is a little, eh. Kind of looks like a website from 2010. I feel like some adjustments are definitely needed, but at least the products aren't garbage. Plans for the summer, wife and I are going to a heavy metal concert. Not exactly her kind of music, but she is willing to go with me 🙂 Excited about the hats too!
@skyizz069 Жыл бұрын
My idea was that the image would describe the scent , but about a week ago, we changed that by adding the name to the bottles. Basically, 4 months ago this company didn't exist, 2 months ago our etsy didn't exist and a week ago, our webcite didn't exist. All this feedback is super important to us, we have been using in person customers feedback to adjust ourselves so far but reaching a bigger community is so important to us and to learn and grow from.

I got my order. I got the entire sample pack, the wash and conditioner, Obsidian Oil/Butter and the unscented butter. Absolutley love the wash/conditioner. Its really amaing. The Obsidian scent is really nice. I smelled the samples and all of them are good. There is an unsurity I have and I am not sure if this is normal for them and encourage others to share their experience if they have tried their blends. There is a smell thats in all of their oils (that I have) and in both butters. All unscented butters I have tried have no scent at all or very little. These have a scent thats just past the subtle line and I cant figure out what it is. I dont think its rancid as my whole order (minus the wash/conditioner) has this undertone. I know there is Emu oil in their oil and butters and this is the main reason I wanted to try them. Ive never used Emu. I want to love these oils but the unknown scent is hindering. I researched that Emu is not supposed to have a scent unless a cheap, unrefined oil is used. Only the company would know what they use. Theres also other oils in the blend I havent tried like brocoli seed and meadowfoam seed oil. It could be that Im smelling, not sure. But I did have to add a little of another oil from my collection to help mask this unkown scent. Other than that, my beard feels great and really really moisturized! Has anyone else experienced this weird scent?
@DanCBearded4 ай бұрын
No, I have zero strange smell with the products. We all have different sensitivities with our noses though. Broccoli seed oil has a distinct scent to it. Checkout my carrier oils 101 video on that one. I would reach out to the company, if you haven't yet
