Could you find me a DJ that uses a 20+ channel mixer? No. That's not a DJ mixer.
@keithhopkin7 жыл бұрын
Hm. I see your point. This type of mixer is generally used for the 'front of house' mix. Perhaps we can workshop some other titles. Maybe "deadmau5 built a giant LED cube to perform in" would be better?

How about this one????? imgur.com/a/f3UyF

Keith Hopkin that's still a FoH/small studio mixer. No DJ would use one of them except if it was last minute and nothing else was available... and he had very long arms to reach the CDJs/decks either side lol. What Deadmau5 does for his live shows is basically live remixing, probably using Ableton. He will be playing his own tracks but will be able to change elements, elongate parts, shorten others, add filters and effects. The large touch screen will just be a self made OSC control surface software that interfaces with Ableton, something akin to what Beardyman had done with the Beardytron 5000 mk2 (he uses 5 iPads, a MacBook, running Ableton, occasionally a phone, keyboard and a couple of small midi controllers!). If you haven't heard of Beardyman look him up on KZbin... he actually makes songs from scratch on the fly, and even if you don't like the music he does his kit, and how he utilises it is something else.

SOunds like he sold his P1 for $2.1M. He made about $1M owning that car for a year. Not a bad deal.

It's "2.1" because it's quite a huge update from the "2.0" (which he only performed with once)

He sold his McLaren P1 to pay for the new additions to his cube 2.0. So you put two and two together and you get "2.1".
