about #deadmau5:
Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known as deadmau5 (pronounced 'dead mouse'), is one of the world's most respected electronic music producers of modern times. Enjoying international chart success with his 2x platinum-certified single "Ghosts 'n' Stuff," as well as "Professional Griefers," "Sofi Needs A Ladder" and "I Remember," he has also released seven critically acclaimed albums. The multiple JUNO Award-winning and GRAMMY®-nominated artist's ability to push the boundaries of his talent grows at an equal rate to his fan base, which counts 15 million and more over his combined social media channels. His latest music offerings include “Pomegranate” with The Neptunes, “Bridged By A Lightwave” with Kiesza, “Channel 43” with Wolfgang Gartner, “Hypnocurrency” with REZZ, “When The Summer Dies” with Lights, “Hyperlandia” featuring Foster The People, “this is fine.” with Portugal. The Man, “XYZ” and “My Heart Has Teeth” featuring Skylar Grey.
In 2022 deadmau5 teamed with longtime friend and collaborator Kaskade on new music project Kx5 releasing Top 40 smash and #1 dance music radio single “Escape” featuring Hayla leading into the release of their 2023 debut self-titled album Kx5. In the live realm, his 2019/20 U.S. cubev3 tour featuring production of his own design and implementation ranked in the Top 10 of Pollstar’s top tours globally. In 2022 he completed the ‘We Are Friends’ North American tour and as Kx5 headlined the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in December, breaking records as the largest single-day concert event headlined by an electronic music artist ever in North America with Billboard confirming Kx5 at the Coliseum as the biggest ticketed global headliner dance event of 2022. Beyond his music career, he is also a co-founder of gaming venture PIXELYNX and is an executive of HD streaming platform StreamVoodoo.
about #mau5trap:
Over a decade since its formation, mau5trap -- the independent record label founded by groundbreaking electronic music producer deadmau5 -- has become a bastion for trailblazing and genre-defying artists. Casting a palpable influence over the genre, Mixmag readers voted mau5trap among the “Top 50 Labels of the Decade”, placing it in the Top 10; since then, the imprint has been supported by dance music magnates Billboard, DJ Mag, Forbes, Insomniac, & The EDM Network.
The multi-genre platform has served as an authoritative platform for dance music heavyweights such as Skrillex, REZZ, Feed Me, Zedd, Noisia, i_o, Dillon Francis, Chris Lake, & Madeon; a combination of dark, forceful techno & complex, electro sounds, the label acts as a hotbed for rising talent like Lamorn, 1788-L, Polar Youth, Volaris, DI SUN, & others alike. Welcome to the horde.

2024 anyone? Genuinely curious to see how many people still remember this absolute BANGER :D the happiness of coming back here at 33 years old overwhelms the nostalgia of being an idiotic 19 year old teen with so much to learn. One of the most important soundtracks I've ever heard :)

It's been so long, I've been out of my body with you I feel alone, feel at home, feel like nothing is true She took me to a place where my senses gave-way Turn it 'round, shut it down, what the people say Climbing up, killing time, gonna give you some, Take my hand and let it come, let it come, let it... Take it back when she knows that you're doing it right 'Cause everybody else knows what they're taking tonight But I just wanna play it right, We are gonna get there tonight It's been so far, I've been walking the line on my own Lift me up to the stars, we are coming home I only had a taste but we're out of time We have sold in the cold, physical design Set me free, set me out on the run Lift me up to the sun, to the sun, to the... We are burning down, we are burning down It's the way that you fake it, I know it's too late But I just want to play it right, We are gonna get there tonight I just want to take you down, We are gonna bring you 'round

Today I am a strong 22-year-old woman and I am still here loving all your art like the first day. Thanks for everything Joel, I love and appreciate you so much 💚💚💚

Lol i found it just now after hearing it at a block party. I really wanted to mix with it. I tried searching: Daft Punk, a track list of songs from a tf2 map called Cyberpunk, the songs used in the "tron dance" viral video, and more Daft Punk. I finally found this song spent so long!

God I remember the old days… our family was fleeing Mexico in 2011. When we entered the USA, my brother played this on his phone, and instantly I grew attached to it. Unfortunately I lost the song along with almost every other song from my earliest years as a child. Finally, today, I rediscovered deadmau5 and as a consequence, rediscovered this masterpiece. Thank you deadmau5 for being a part of my childhood.

But when it comes to just enjoying it, I'll put on some GWAR and just focus on the drums (I'm a drummer myself), and I just appreciate the complexity of the drummer and his beats. This song remember me a 2010-2014 bumper of discovery science, I have a vague memory in my childhood that a song very very similar to this appeared in that 2-minute commercial, and showed in close-up faces of older people, adults and some children. It also showed a city in motion, cars moving in timelapse, some children in the background playing in a school... It may sound a little exaggerated to give so much weight to a simple commercial, but it was unusual and a little disturbing to see that for a moment on tv they gave a commercial so long and with such a dark vibe, in such a way to generate memory in my mind after so much time. Doing a few searches came up with nothing but this video, so I guess that "song" and the aforementioned commercial must be lost media, I really won't know.
