They said last time that one person should watch the Theatrical cut. This way the audience will know what the differences are no matter what version they watched. So I like that they mentioned the differences, just like they did with Days of Future Past. Helps me out a lot.

Tim, Russell is NOT Shatterstar in the comics. Shatterstar says his name is Rusty in the audition in this movie (it's not in the comics) which is where I think your confusion comes from

Talk about duality of personalities...Deadpool turns it on when he's being Deadpool, then brings it down to the earth and turns it less "on" when he's with his woman...No one can sustain that amount of insanity ALL the time...We're all like this, I feel like Greg should have been able to relate to that, I know I do

I buy the Deadpool 1 motivations way more. You can at least make an argument that he did everything he did simply to get his looks back. In Deadpool 2 all he has is the family motivation which doesn't make any sense.

I don't understand the love for Deadpool 2. The jokes didn't land nearly as well as they did in the first movie. And that's probably because the whole movie was a tonal mess. You know when someone is joking and you don't know if they're trying to be funny or not?? THAT is Deadpool 2.

This movie is trash; it's funny and endearing in an amateur film maker kind of way, but it's trash. They doubled down on the stuff they got wrong in the first one and lost all the restraint they had there as well. The story is a directionless mess with too much recycling of old material. No where near as well put together as the first.
