The character actually evolved to be Ryan Reynolds before he even thought of becoming the character. He said he read one of the comics cause people were telling him he should play DeadPool. and One of the comics someone asked Deadpool what he looked like under the mask and Deadpool responded. "A Fucked Up Version of Ryan Reynolds". That's when Ryan knew he had to play the character. That line needs to be put in the movies.
