I just finished playing both games last week. I grew up playing Wolverine Origins and it was my second time playing Deadpool. Deadpool was a lot more fun than I remember. It's very ironic we both played these games at the same time, but makes perfect sense due to Deadpool & Wolverine coming soon.

Better having the right team for the right job than having Fun Labs, the team that made the Cabela's video game series work on other licensed action games like Chaotic: Shadow Warriors (an _almost_ decent game full of missed potential) and MIB: Alien Crisis (which I know nothing about but seems to have been poorly received by both reviewers and Metacritic users). Also Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 (also panned by reviewers and Metacritic users and Nerf Legends (which no one played apparently)

Deadpool has fun gunkata action, but apart from all the constant 4th wall breaks it's short and it doesn't really stands out too much but still a good time. The Wolverine game however it's one hell of a ride which had Logan taking out a master mold among many other great boss fights. The pounce mechanic really made a difference and the plot feels odd because this was meant to be an original Wolverine game instead of a movie tie-in. At least it ended on a sequel hook with Wolverine about to face off an army of sentinels.

Actually I justttt finished replaying Wolverine this week. Believe it or not. There are only 4 unique bosses through the game. I feel like I remember it having more diversity playing it when I was a kid. But now as an adult and going back, I realize it was short, underdeveloped, and lacking in enemy variety. Not to take away from how amazing it was. But yea I just realized it now for the first time

I assumed Wolverine was inaccurate to the film because so many movie games were at that point, it’s surprisingly close to the film at a few points for a game that initially began as one not based on the film. Punisher (2005) was similar, it started development before the film but loosely tied into it by using the same actor and maybe a few plot points(? Never seen the film) late in development.

Not that this is extremely exclusive for the time, but both are also running on Unreal Engine 3. Deadpool defenitely goes for a lot flatter look than wolverine with the lighting though.

I have the PS4 edition of Deadpool and I met the guy that was mo-capped for the PIzza Guy. Would be nice if Wolverine Uncaged was released on PS4 as well. Both were fun, Wolverine had some in-game codes as well.

Funnily enough the game was being developed before the movies script for Origins Wolverine was even completely finished which is why there's some discrepancies in the the plot. On top of that the game influenced the movies script in several cases like adding Gambit as a character was in the game before the movie script.

Damn shame you can't get these games through "official" means nowadays; both are great for fairly different reasons: Wolverine was a brutal -albeit-, authentic rendition of the comic book character but constrained to the mediocre context of the film; Deadpool, by comparison, had a wonderful script and character realization, but a very strange game design, with not such a satisfying gameplay loop as the one from Wolverine, for example.

X-men origins wolverine was so good. I wish we got more similar hugh jackman wolverine games. Having a remaster for next gen consoles that matches the pre-rendered cutscenes of x-men origins wolverine would be nice too. The few pre rendered CGI cutscenes in that game looked awesome.

Beat both of these games back-to-back starting with Wolverine, and whilst Deadpool is definitely more fun combat wise, I prefer Wolverine's take on the regeneration with the exposure of "vital organs" hidden behind the regeneration bar.

I waited until I saw Deadpool and Wolverine in the theater before watching this video because I've been trying to avoid spoilers, even stuff in TV ads. I only played the Wii version of X-Men Origins Wolverine. It was pretty fun, but unlike Spider-Man The Movie The Game, you couldn't replay levels until you beat the game.

Not trying to nitpick, but the Deadpool game released in 2013 (for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) then in late 2015 (for PS4 and Xbox One). For what it's worth, it's a good game, but Deadpool and his shenanigans really carry it (otherwise it's just a generic, but not bad, Hack & Slash). As for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, this was the only case (off the top of my head) where the video game was better than the movie. Overall, a fantastic video, like always.

Back in around 2010-2011 when I got XMEX Origins Wolverine, I had a gual to 100% the game on my Xbox 360. Might have to pick that up again now when I know where the game is. As for Deadpool, I have yet to play that game and watch the movies. Might watch the movies when Deadpool 3 is out, so I can binge them all.

I can't say much about X-Men Origins. I watched the movie and thought it was underappreciated. But I didn't bother with the tie-in because I heard the only impressive feat was the healing factor and claw physics. Movie games have to have a more stellar reputation for me to look at.

I remember experiencing the Deadpool game when it first was released. Despite being challenged by heavy sunmer hitters like Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us, I thought it was pretty enjoyable, at least on the writing side. Gameplay was pretty repetitive, though. And I wasn't satisfied by the ending.

I played the Deadpool game when i was 13 and while i enjoyed it, it felt kinda mediocre and low budget. Even then. X-Men origins on the otherhand? LOVED IT. Played the Uncaged Edition, two different Java Phone ports, the PSP but jave yet to play the PS2 or DS version.

I would say that the differences between the two games are HOW they play. X Men Origins Wolverine plays like old school God of War while Deadpool is much more akin to that of Devil May Cry. Aside from that, both are excellent games and worth checking out!

Funny that how both games are similar in gameplay, but the difference between these two is that Deadpool is a comic based game. While X-MEN Origins: Wolverine is a loose movie based game. I always going to like X-MEN Origins a lot than Deadpool when it comes to blood and violence.

I've never played either, but now that I know they exist and are good I definitely will have to find copies of both. Of course, it'll have to be emulation since I don't have either a 360 or a PS3. Might be time to build an actual gaming computer with a proper discrete graphics card, because this computer just doesn't have the necessary horsepower. For that matter, can you rip either system's discs or will I need to find a second hand console to do that too?

It technically already was. The original game released in June 2013 on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It was 'remastered' and re-released in November 2015 (because of the February 2016 Deadpool movie) on PS4 and Xbox One. While I like the Deadpool game for what it's worth (it's not overly great, just good), I think it'd be best to just make a new game altogether, or they could shoot for a sequel and have Deadpool in-game joke about how it took over a decade to get it.

@@nsaspynetwork3196 It's not on PSN, Activision (the publisher) didn't renew their license with Marvel so it was pulled from PSN (as well as the Xbox Marketplace and Steam). I own a physical copy of it on PS4, but physical copies of it on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One can go for A LOT (not too ridiculous, but ridiculous for a game that's only 10 years old), so good luck.
