Deadpool is a man who literally got the 'will it blend?' treatment and has all the hots for the embodiment of death herself he can't fulfill. He's a goober at heart that just wants the best for people because he can't have it anymore. If memory serves while it was born from Wolverine's healing factor, his own healing abilities are actually several magnitudes greater than even his.

I mean the healing factor tends to listen to the mind in both DC and Marvel. Same reason that Deathstroke never regenerated his eye, he doesn't let himself regenerate it because he believes he deserved to lose it. There is also the fact that he's gotten so used to the single-eyed life that two eyes hindered him on the battlefield when his left eye had the audacity to regrow without his permission. But I prefer the former.

The healing factor is also healing the cancer. In other words, its making the cancer WORSE! The Skrulls tried making Super Skrulls that could mimic his regenerative abilities. They all died of cancer. Explosive cancer. His healing factor is both keeping him alive and keeping the X gene infused mutant cancer at bay.
@derekbrown58972 ай бұрын
@jobowisheshewasnomo4171 iirc the MCU deadpool story was that his cancer cells were also supposed to be regenerating due to his healing factor, making it worsen and spread as time went on. Eventually, he developed so much cancer that it spread throughout his entire body. His healing factor was more than enough to keep up with the cancer, tho. Idk if he was regenerating enough regular cells to keep the cancer from killing him or if the cancerous cells were what was keeping him alive, but super serum that heals you so efficiently you can't die also affecting cancer doesn't seem too far fetched. Imo, the super serum working as intended is more unrealistic than if somehow a super serum did work, it healed the bad things in his body as well as what would be needed to heal wounds. It was experimental, after all. Psychological issues can cause crazy things to happen to you body, but instances where psychological issues being specifically what stops you from healing or anything comparable, is a less common occurrence than damage just being irreversible for injuries/illnesses not getting better. But there are cases like people having multiple personalities where 1 will be allergic to something and actually show signs of being allergic while they're that personality. I think it can even happen if the person doesn't know what they're allergic to is in what they're consuming. Deadpool not healing def could be Psychological issues and having at least 1 version where that's the case is guaranteed in the marvel multiverse. It just sucks that he wasn't able to personally justify killing to save his friend and went back to burn victim face.

@@kenj0165It should be noted Wade also doesn't actually want to know.
