They got extremely overlooked by bands like Slipknot, Korn, System of a down ect (all of which were at their peak in the late 90's early 2000's) it also didn't help that Alt/ Indie/ Nu metal really started to die out in the mid 2000's i feel like had they continued instead of releasing 2 albums then bouncing they probably could have made a small name for themselves.

I remember picking up their CD it was under 10 bucks at Target and I fell in love with Mansion World and then Lake Waramaug then Cruella and then every other song. At the time was into a lot of nu metal . Growing up listening to Metal,Grunge,Rap . Late 90$ this comes my way and just punches me in the kidneys musically. I wouldn’t say it was my type of music. But something about it stayed locked in my heart and brain. To this day nothing musically has made me feel like this album. I have never tried to push a band on people as much as them. And really never got too much of a positive review. But I still see a lot of dedicated fans of their music online and they’re just as passionate as me. This band has honestly been one of my favorite things in life. Maybe that’s a bit much for a 43 year old Truck driver . But this place wouldve been just a little less without them. Thank you Deadsy. If you never do anything else as a band you have so many fans.,Maybe not millions but solid numbers of fans that worship them. Rambling now. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶

One of the best live shows I ever saw when I lived in Hollywood in the early 2000's. Think it was 2002 or so. Fuckin aye they could have been so huge if they had stayed together, superstar lineage or not. One of the most unique sounds of any underground band I've ever heard. They were so big in LA back then I thought for sure they were poised for superstardom. Glad they're back together now at least.

There is no other album like this, the first time I heard Deadsy was on a tape that a friend recorded back in 99' it was way before the actual official release. The unreleased version is a lot different than the official. I always loved how they brought together synth music with a whole different sound. Some say they sounded like Korn but not really. It was very original. The whole album has always put me in a mood I can't explain it, it's magical.

Clan of Xymox might be a influence and of course from the album itself, Rush. But all in all Deadsy sounds like no one else. Even the vibe was something you can't explain. Bands these days just don't do that.

The desperate eyes that close, maybe it goes away. Please rest tomorrow, and bring a satisfied day. The restless urge of love that's worth, the burning for. Surely it's that one comforting, love to give you more. And this thought can be that begins, the brand new tangled web you're spinning. Anyone can be your brand new love. Any time the force can be broken, to tear your bitter world to be open. Anyone can be your brand new love. You won't be the first. Your twisted change is normal...gossip, dirt. Whisper to the nodding head, thrilled you fell apart instead of them. But they will,'cause any hope for love can be killed. If you need a different face, it's definite time to destroy this place. Follow what you feel, you alone will decide what's real. Anyone can be your brand new love.
