@@the_matchless You should get better education. When you search "Deaf and dumb" google gives you the meaning from Oxford dictionary. It's like an idiom, "Dumb" means dumb when used separately but when used in Deaf and Dumb, it's an actual term and grammatically, ethically and morally correct. Now research a bit better before taking words literally.

The term "deaf and dumb" is not appropriate. There are other words that can be used. Also, it's important to note that being unable to speak does not necessarily mean that a person lacks intelligence, so the term dumb should not be used to refer to people who are unable to speak. We need to change this mindset.
