I hate those mosquito trucks. Had them where I lived in Colorado. They would go up and down the roads loud as hell spraying crap in the air for everyone to breathe. I'm getting a pair of these along with machete mids and tweets. (Maybe Sylvesters :) ) Worried about them putting out enough, which is why I'm gonna fit thr 8" midbass Making fiberglass pods to fit all 3 in each door. My two IA 12s are metering at 145.4db. Tuned to 25hz and can hit 141db at 28hz. Love them low lows.

Just because it can play like this does not mean that is what it is designed for lol now if you were to adjust your crossovers properly and only allow midbass frequencies thru then you'd truly see this thing shine! And by properly I mean to filter out any freqs below 100hz or so and leave those to the actual subwoofers lol

These things have a rated response of 30hz and up, they don't have to be set to 100hz and up lol. These are midbass speakers, not pro mids.

So I have 2 6.5” Arnold’s in each of my front doors with a tweeter on a 500.4 only using 2 channels. Do you suppose if I swap out a 6.5 with these and use the available 2 channels on my 4 channel it would be pretty good? There is absolutely no kick or punch from these Arnold’s. Feeling like it’s missing something. Arnold’s are crossed at 250 hp. Yea they’re friggen loud. What I’m trying to do is if I cut my subs off, my system would still sound damn good. Just missing that real midbass. I’m not running anything in the rear for door speakers as I dont want the front stage messed with.

Thats what im doing. I bought the machetes for my rear doors as a true mid and a pair of Sylvesters and a tweeter up front. Im sound deadening my doors also of the first time, see if it really makes difference 😅

They sound pretty good if you put them with some midrange speakers. They add more depth to the sound. To me they don't get very loud. It's more bass than anything. If you get these I think you should put them in an enclosure. They pack a punch but don't get very loud vocal wise. They are not that expensive so you can get several of them. To me they act like a little subwoofer. They will add quality to the sound but I don't think they sound good alone. They also can take a beating. If you are looking for loudness I'd go with the Arnold's. I think you should pair these up with some midrange speakers if you get them.

These may work for you. The will add depth to the sound. I like them but my only complaint about them is that they don't get that loud. My loud and your loud may be totally different. If it ain't hurting my ears it ain't loud 👂🔊🔊🔊 😆. They have plenty of bass output. They will beat like hell as long as they are not distorting and have a clean signal.

I just played around with them a few minutes ago. I figured out they don't like high frequencies. Sending them the same frequency as a midrange speakers may clip the amp I had to turn up the low pass filter to stop the amp from clipping. So make sure you set LPF. Make sure you set the HPF too to filter out the lows. No need for any frequency under maybe 80hz going to them. If the amp has a midbass nob then you may a turn that up. If you do this they will have a hard punch to them. That's what I think they are made for.

Four of these in each door will knock your door paneling off!!! To me these act more like a subwoofer. They pack more bass than anything. The vocals is kind of loud before it starts to distort. I would pair them up with so midrange speakers. The bass quality is great. You may be better off putting these in a little enclosure to se what they really can do. I would put some Sylvester 6.5 in the door and maybe ad these to get more bass
