You'll never know how much your music has helped me. When I've had nothing else, you were here. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say I'm still here because of you. I hope you find some peace and happiness in life.

It’s an absolute travesty that talent like this goes unplayed to the world via radio whilst all that sh!t is clogging up the charts. This is so powerful. Thankyou James & Deaf Havana!

I’m 30. I’ve been listening and following dh since i was 18. I’ve not got a kid now, so much has changed in my life. But dh have been a relative constant, I’ve turned to them for motivation, strength, and inspiration. Thank you for going for all this time, I hope I listen to you forever x

This are the best lyrics I ever heard. James you really broke something here. Really, you are something really special man. I been listening to your music for years and is like we grow up together. There’s always something very special on every record that explain how I feel. Thank you. I’m really scare of the day that maybe you will choose to leave because no one can tell story’s like you do. Thank you.

I feel the same. First started listening when "Friends like these" came out, shortly did a gig in my small town and been following every since. I'm the same age as James and I feel like I've been with him every step.

Followed since 'Fools and worthless liars'. Loved and hated all the style changes at different times, but have always, always loved James' voice and the lyrics of every album, and every time the style has grown on me to make each one my favourite. Right now 'The Present Is A Foreign Land' is my favourite album. The more you listen to all their music the more it grows and becomes essential. Can't wait for the next one boys xxx

I love Deaf Havana with all my heart, and it's killed me to watch them struggle to break over the years. Being a fan of this band is like being a Tottenham fan - they have the talent and potential, they've just fumbled the bag so many times. Please people, let's get tickets, stream the album like FUCK, and push this record up the charts. We want Havana to get over the line, and they more than deserve it.

How have they fumbled?
@charliewolff21522 жыл бұрын
@@gf5137 Financial errors that got them into debt, poor choice of managers, not capitalising on opportunities as much as they could've. In a podcast recently, James mentioned that he was envious of how Josh from YMA6 was always thinking of the next step for the band, while he just wanted to have a good time.

My god, I love this song... I totally get why it's James' favorite on the album. He's outdone himself with the lyrics again and the emotion in his voice, it's just beautiful 🖤

Even after all these year's, since the myspace day's, since the screaming vocals came and went - Deaf Havana never ceases to amaze me in a way that even in my adulthood resonates with my soul.

After having the very strange thing of bumping into people I haven't seen in years, the end of the song hits hard, I sometimes wish I'd never met her back in 2018, and we had always been strangers. It would be better than this constant fucking pain for the past two years.

You met me in the dark I saw you from the train, I was wasted You didn't look a thing like I remembered Smiling like a kid Hands were trembling God, what a mess I'm in Stuck like a stranger Stranded and nameless Blissful and blameless Is this when the pain kicks in? I broke down, we got back to your house If you can call it that Just a makeshift room in an ancient building Covered in dust, and the rain gets in through the ceiling What have I done? I shouldn't have come here, I know But I can't be alone See how we fall After all, we're just strangers Keep me on call Through it all This love is faithless I found hell In a hotel room somewhere near the western border All my demons stick around 'till the morning, yeah I must have fallen asleep, because I woke up from the strangest dream The ghost of you was haunting me Nailing crosses to my feet See how we fall After all, we're just strangers Keep me on call Through it all Life as fake love I've been crying out trying to focus on the positives in this, but then You break apart like porcelain, and I can't make you whole again If you think this is a mess God, you don't know the half of it you never did You break apart like porcelain and I can't fix you I didn't want to meet the people that you knew But I gave in, caved, got wasted again and played the good guy (At least I tried) But I just wanted to die Each glimmer of progress Was drowned out by hopelessness And a simple sadness so sincere It filled my veins with fear, and I just wanted to run To run from everything Outrun my youth, maybe shed my skin Reverse the years of selfish sin Climb back inside and start again (I'm done) Maybe in another life We would be nothing but passers by And even if I see you You're just someone, somewhere in the dark Someone, somewhere in the dark (Someone, somewhere)
