I dont play drums but theres some questions ive always pondered about drummers that drum really fast..like.. Dude, youre hitting those drums at drug like speeds...is there like a wrist technique youre using or are you constantly using all the muscles in your forearm to swing?.. Also, some people hit bass pedals with both feet really fast but when i pretend to do that with an imaginery drum set when im listening to music, my shin muscles start burning really fast..how do black metal drummers do that?..damn

Proper hand technique involve using the stick as a basketball, when you cast it to the ground, it comes up. It's all about finding the balance point and using it with good technique. You can also use double-hits(or whatever you call it in english), which is often used in swing an jazz. The double hits can be used effectivly in one hand to perform some good punk beats or skank beats, or you can use it in both hands to perform fast blast beats. I don't have fast enough double hits, so I have to use single hits on blast beats, which takes a lot more stamina, which means you're gonna be tired way faster. There are many double bass techniques as well. Hope that answers some things.
