I’m from Israel, where the first sign language school was founded by German immigrants, so about 30% of signs are derived from DGS, so I was looking at this and getting all stoked when I saw roughly familiar signs lol (Specifically the ones for ‘understand’ and ‘sign’; I suppose there were more but I don’t know Israeli SL well enough to tell…)

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure but i know some signs in ASL come from Latin Sign Language. I just think over the decades languages, oral and signing, borrow from each other and whatnot.

If anyone who can't understand DGS at end, the German lady wants 100 grams of sugar, bit of salt, more sugar, one shot of Jägermeister... By the way, the onion is Zwiebel, not Zwievel.

WHOOPS! I can’t use Germany Sign Language 🇩🇪. Because needs Germany Interpreter for German deaf or Germany Interpreter for spoken/texts language. I think better translation language only. Good Luck! I love this video. It emphasizes a point that nust as every country has their own spoken language and culture, each country has its own sign language and it is very different from ASL. Sign language is not a universal language.
