I live here in the United States and I have to be honest I prefer this version of deal or no deal far more than the Howie Mandel version

I like them both a lot and value them about the same. The US version has a high-stakes circus atmosphere in comparison to the more homely and personal UK version, but they're both just wonderful imho.
