Well done Walter, little did I know but I was bidding against you on these! I'm sure you'll do well with them, some absolute gems, and it's a great way to pull collectors to the website.

Great wealth of information on paperweights! Thank you dear friend. I heard if the base is cloudy it is not Murano.

Personally I am more into antique paperweights and Paul Ysart but I can see you got a nice selection there, well done. They look great on the site.

Very nice haul. I mainly collect IOW Glass but have been known to stray and do own a few other pieces of glass. Love a Millifiori paperweight tho.

Last two are Chinese and Murano, the egg shaped Murano is quite nice, you don't see that many.

If you ask Google they do many yellow. Baccarat.. Its not. All paperweights can be made all are different. If it looks to good it is. The yellow is popular.. The sticker someone has stuck on..

Thank you for your reply. I wish this was a baccarat paperweight. And while I agree someone can just place a sticker. They would have a much harder time putting the Perthshire date cane inside The year 2000 over the p cane. What was so exciting is this is a Perthshire 100 percent but not listed in the Perthshire book.

That yellow paperweight is a John Gentile paperweight, not a Perthshire. 😊

If its not in book then it's a copy. 4 out of 10 paperweights are fake..
@AntiquesArena Жыл бұрын
Again thank you for your comment. While I agree there are many fake paperweights out there. Perthshire did many one of a kinds. And not all are in the book. Most fakes are Chinese and easy to spot.

Calling something rare and then advising there are 250 in the edition nullifies your erroneous notion that the paperweight is rare. In reality, the paperweight is not rare. Not one of your paperweights is rare. Not one. You have a lot to learn about paperweights.

If you don’t think 250 is rare maybe you should talk to the world wildlife society and tell them to stop panicking. World wide 250 made is rare in my mind And as for lots to learn. Yep we are all learning every day but if you are so educated that you aren’t learning each day good on you. Have a nice day
