@@liverdisease-qb6rk Hi LD! I didn’t receive your email but I will let you know here. I just got out of the hospital yesterday. I had to be rushed to the hospital last week and I had to have emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder and to clear out the bile ducts! I am in tremendous pain right now with fever so I’m not even out of the woods yet. I’m going to see my doctor tomorrow morning if I’m not better by then. If it gets too bad I’ll go back to the hospital today. I’m doing my best to recover but I am battling all this by myself alone. I’m only six days alcohol free but I’m Not tempted at all Today!!! It doesn’t solve anything! It Only creates even worse Problems! I literally almost died this week. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Sending you lots of love and respect Always!!! I Will Overcome This!!! It’s just very very difficult and extremely painful right now.♥️🙏

Doesn't make it a whole lot easier, but when he was having 1st parenthesis, the Dr. told us he had a year, and if he didn't have Life insurance, to hurry up and get it. He was furious with the staff and remained in denial. He blew off appointments all the time. I finally had to let go and let the chips fall where they may. I believe he's finally at peace, but he is so sadly missed. Thank you for your condolences.Rest well my friends!

I have a rare liver disease which lead to Cirrhosis . ascites is awful, I’m a petite lady at 51 and 110 lbs. Before I gots a TIPS shunt places I was having 6 liters drained out of my abdomen and 2 liters out of my lung every 6 days. I was also hospitalized from when the fluid got infected. I take diuretics 4x a day, low sodium diet. Also get Albumin IV.

I remember seeing your video about setting up for sleep, and it was basically whatI already do. I don’t know if I have ascites but likely. I’m in Canada and the doctors are trying to help with my liver disease but when I come in claiming I have these things they don’t seem to want to listen and everything takes forever. And they kinda seem to think I’m lying or just don’t want to deal with it, I don’t know. It’s weird. I’m trusting them as much as I can but I seem to keep getting worse waiting. Thank you for this video.

I've suffered with ascites for over 5 years. You are so right about it being the worst part of cirrhosis. Being normally a petite woman, it's embarrassing to appear pregnant all the time (especially being 65) and not wanting to go out or fitting in most of your clothes. I've been on diuretics for a long time, and it helps a bit, and have had numerous paracentesis procedures. I'm considering asking for a TIPS procedure, but scared about the possible dangers involved. Thank you LD for your advice and helping others who are dealing with this.

One thing about the diet, especially nuts, it is really good for you if you don’t like protein shakes, but the issues is that they are very mineral dense, if you have weak kidney functions stay away or keep it low because it will put a lot of strain on it, which can cause kidney failures
@kamikaze_kev5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for addressing this issue LD, this has helped me a lot! I'm currently having to wear 4XL tops just to fit! I noticed people stare a lot at ascites more than someone who is overweight with body fat, i think they can tell its water and that it just dont look right due to the weird shape and the way your belly moves when walking! (tossing to and fro like waves on the ocean!) I will go back to my doc and try and suggest that I have ascites hopefully he will check me out properly the second time (docs are really unhelpful here in the UK!). I kinda knew it was ascites when I gained nearly 3stone in just a couple of weeks and also noticed when i laid flat that the fluid fell down into like bags on my left and right sides or would fill up like a bag on the side i laid on. what upsets me most is that i had no symptoms that something was seriously wrong until it was too late, you could call it a silent killer! My heart goes out to you for what you gone through, were here for you too! God bless buddy, always look forward to your videos. 😊👍🙏
