Questions are important for Israel to ensure security is preserved which I am sure you realise. You showed great restraint and patience with dealing with customs and the shipping agents, that comes with overlanding and dealing with awkward situations in general , something I have to learn to accept and cope with. If you think that's a hard/awkward border try China. I had problems because my 4x4 had a VIN number that was too short (old car) and because the car was too heavy. They looked up the original weight but not the fully loaded weight. Took hrs to sort out even with the guide speaking Chinese. You must remember overlanding is a privilege not a right. But above all just chill and wait ;-)

Well done for not giving up and fighting for your corner 150 usd for a notary is scandalous I would have loved to have seen your encounter with the customs official I have visited Israel before and to get through customs you need patience and a lot of it. Enjoying the trip Ride safe
