Mentally & emotionally ill people are always tiresome & challenging to deal with. After a time, you start to feel sick yourself, not normal anymore. 😢

I just listened to what you had to say, and I was so full of love and forgiveness and nothing else matters but love between a mother and daughter. Thank you so much. I just had layzer surgery yesterday on my left eye and last night got the worst tooth ache and swelling. Felt so alone until I came across you. Thank you. 🙏

The meditation you shared gave me the fastest healing that I have ever felt. I will repeat this meditation with all of the "lucid" people in my life. 😆

Sina, you’re so cute. I also saw a lovely side of a particularly “lucid” individual. 😉 Such relief!

Alan, I have loved you and listened to you for YEARS! This was one of your best talk s ever and I have loved them all. How did you know this was precisely what I need this morning?! I am so grateful for you and to you!😍

Thanks, Alan. How about one-off interactions? Condescending grocery store cashier, passive aggressive customer service, rude DMV employee, etc? These little energetic cuts add up over time.

It's their problem, level of perception. Hurt people, hurt people 💔 Kill em with kindness!

Pity the fools! 😜 I try to focus on a feeling of gratitude for being given yet another opportunity to practice not taking anything personally, forgiving someone who knows not what they are doing, and being aware of my own thoughts of "How dare they!" and "That shouldn't be happening!". It is never the situation, but our thoughts about the situation that make us feel shitty, and we tend to replay those incidents over and over in our minds. I find if I take the time, I can glean a new understanding, or find a blessing in the midst of any seemingly "bad" experience. A shift in perspective can turn bad into good. All opposites are really just varying degrees of the same thing. The + is the truth, and the - is simply an absence of the truth...not a separate thing unto itself. Also, I sometimes will repeat some version of the Ho'oponopono prayer in my mind while dealing with a difficult person. Like, "I'm sorry I'm perceiving you as less than the divine being you are. Please forgive me. I love you and I thank you." Thank you for asking a question that reminded me of these things! 😊

And then there was the rageful, abusive, out of control screamer. Alcoholic and addicted, paranoid, jealous, irresponsible and unsafe, who lied all the time, and had no sense of humour at all. That's how in the dark I was. And he was exactly what I needed to push me back toward the light. Thank God.

Wow, what happens when its your child, I would love to have a beautiful relationship with my daughter, I have tried so hard. Because I have 3 grandchildren. But she always finds a way to hurt me. I suffer from anxiety and vestibular disorder. I will give a small example, she sends me a text after not hearing from her for a month. In the text she ask hi mom how are you doing I answered I am ok, her response was glad that your ok by the way thanks for asking I am doing well. So I just let it go. Have not heard from her since September 14, its now September 24th.

It kinda sounds like you are both expecting the other to take the lead. Like, she finally reached out to you because she was feeling hurt that you didn't reach out to her, and you don't reach out to her because she seems to always hurt you. It all sounds a bit passive aggressive, which makes communication difficult. I have a neighbour who perceives me as "always coming at her, trying to upset her", but my reality is that on occasion I have gone to her with no ill will whatsoever, asking for her help. She misinterpreted me, and when I went to her to try to explain and make peace, she couldn't not see it as another attack. I had to just give up. If the communication is impossible, it's a stalemate situation. I don't know your situation, but I wonder if you could reinterpret your daughter's behaviour and not take it personally, maybe her defensiveness would shift as well.

Also, are your grandkids young? If your daughter has 3 young kids, she is probably overwhelmed and exhausted a lot of the time, which makes everything difficult. Maybe she wishes you could be there to help her and has feelings of resentment because you have to spend your time and energy taking care of yourself. There could be all kinds of reasons your relationship is strained. I hope you can find a way back to peace with your daughter.

Thoughts: We are the dreamer of the dream. We write the script we think we live. The challenges of the life illusion offers opportunities to grow.
