Awesome topic and sweet tips Crow! Good to know about the dawn working so well. Works super well on dishes too. Splint is a great idea for the trekking pole! I’ve only had minor patches so far in the field. One to my tent and the other to my jacket. This is a great idea for a series!

Thanks Dave. I just threw this together with some footage I had of the trip. I is a real thing…just make do with what you have and adapt. 😂✌️

Gear failures ARE part of the experience. It just doesn’t usually all fail on one trip😂. I’m a leader for my son’s scout troop. I put my uniform shirt (with hard plastic name plate attached) in my tent. Forgot by the time I went to bed and heard my sleeping pad pop when I sat on it. The patch kit got me through the weekend, but I had to top it off once in the middle of each night. It’s held up for 3 years since with a proper patch job at home.

That Dawn Power Wash is the best thing since sliced bread. Pepper spray and tear gas are two things I never want to breathe again! Happy Hiking

Sh*t happens...and then you have to deal w/it. This is a fine example as to why I've never owned a trekking pole tent as well. I am not good w/keeping trekking poles around and in one piece.

Yeah, I just realized I never published this. So, I went ahead and did it today. I never punished the hot springs either. I’ll do that as well. Appreciate ya brother. ✌️

Stories to tell the grandkids around the campfire. Remember the time a bear broke into the back of the truck and used the pepper spray on us?

Oh yeah! It has stayed on my pack…I still get teared up from the sting of it when I reach in the pocket of my pack. ✌️😂

Most of my gear fails on most trips. Thats why I go with other hikers, so I can borrow their gear. 🦑

Hypothesis - bear spray weakens carbon fiber and aluminum…At least yours. 😂
