Very nice looking trees Ryan. Interesting to see your way of thinking with the removal of the two branches. The executive decision payed off 😅👍

From the pruning, you have some good cuttings to make a mini bonsai.

Great video Ryan they both look really good mate and you’re right on the angle change of that tree. It does look better with a bit of an angle change 👊👊👊

Both very nice trees, I like the changes. Once the pads extend out will looks even better. Not so cluttered in the middle with the branches removed.

These are nice looking trees. I have a Tom Thumb cotoneaster. It is a spreading easter and has tiny leaves on it. Good from -20F/-28C to -10F/-23C. Small leaves. If you can find one, I bet you could make a cool bonsai from it. Just a thought. Mine is planted in front of the house. Might take a cutting and give it a try from seeing your video.

The first one Ryan is a dead ringer to the one I had on a rock which was over 40 years old, always an easy tree to deal with but last year it just died for whatever reason I have no idea it had the same attention as any other year, I love Cotoneasters I have a few different styles and sizes, I think I prefer your second one it has a very natural look as you say just needs pads building, I think your right to change the potting angle and a nice smaller deeper ceramic pot for the future and it will grow like the clappers very quickly so one for the future mate. Happy new year, hope it’s a good one
