Free money isn't boring!! The issue is when you are card dead and you know that no one is folding. I sat at a $1/$2 game on Saturday for 8 hours and lost $160. Got coolered once and the rest of the time I was just card dead.

AQo: I think "mixing it up" with good but not great hands is almost completely unnecessary at 1/3. I think I would have instead checked range on the flop oop. Here villain likely would have bet, and you could have x-raised a small bet or called a larger bet and likely gotten more money in the pot. Another option is to just bet large on the flop, since many hands will just fold to any bet on an A-hi tt flop. Get value from Ax and FDs. I agree that river bet should be larger on this board. KK: I think you focus too much on monsters under the bed. You were fairly certain on the turn that villain had AQ but then jammed just in case villain had a draw. I think that jam lost some EV.

KK I am not jamming for fear, I jam for value. If he is raising light, he is giving up when I call. AQ, it’s a player I play with often. Need to mix it up on occasion to stay balanced. I would agree that playing straight forward is best against most 1/3 players.

@@MaydayAggro if he has a hand worth calling river, he would call a $235 jam. If he has a weaker hand with some outs, he would only bet or call river if he improves. So by just calling, he sees river at his price with some implied odds. By jamming, he has to pay to draw and has 0 implied odds.

You jammed your top pair with QJ on the turn bc player was short,about $120. You hit top pair with AQ off and suspected villain had A-? and you had him out kicked but you don’t jam turn or river. Villain has about $240 behind. I’m curious,what is the difference to you? Why not get maximum? I know you said you missed some value but I’m curious about those two spots.

The first hand, he is never folding, AQ hand, I should make a pot size bet(possibly bigger). I wanted to show that was capable of checking a strong hand to this regular. Normally I just bet 3 streets with that board. Lost value indeed. An all in bet would be an overplay IMO, might get called by worse. I wanted to get called by a high % of his hands so I can show mine. That being said, my river bet should be larger and playing it fast would have been much more profitable.
