Got dealt four aces today on 100 hand deuces wild poker (3 aces and a deuce). Ended up with 8 five ace hands. I'm cheap so I only bet 1 credit. Also was dealt 5 queens on deuces wild ultimate x, again only 1 credit.

If you aren't making the bonus bet on ultimate x, you are likely better playing on a different machine. I'd say about 80% of the time the UX machine will have a lower paytable than a regular game

How different is double bonus vs double double?

A similar strategy, but not the exact same strategy can be used. Here's what our friend Henry Tamburin wrote about the two games: (but, keep in mind, that the pay tables he mentions are slightly better than the ones we are playing.) "You might think the playing strategy for DDB would be identical to Double Bonus (after all, the names are nearly the same). But this isn’t the case. The factor that most affects the strategy is the payoff for the flush (rather than the payoff for the full house and straight). The flush payoff for 9/6 DDB is 6 coins times your bet, whereas it’s 7 coins in Double Bonus. (In fact, the playing strategy for DDB is closer to 9/6 Jacks or Better, because the flushes in the latter game pay 6 coins times your bet.) The playing strategy for DDB is unique because of the extra value of Aces and kickers. For example, if you play DDB and you have a full house that contains three aces, you’d break up the full house and hold the three aces. Likewise, if you have a hand that contains two pair and one of the pair is aces, you only hold the two aces. You’ll also be going for inside straights more often playing DDB, compared to Jacks or Better."

I just don't understand why you play games that have very low payout. Dueces wild is extremely boring unless you hit four deuces. Bonus poker is also boring. KZbin is for entertainment. There is a REASON double double is number one in the casinos. You always talk about payables, but you have been losing anyway. Please play double double on a single line $2 or + machine or a 3 play REGULAR machine. I must thank you for showing me that those "bet double your wager" video poker machines are losers. More volatility than anything, but you love them. Your response is appreciated.

We play those games to make our videos more "entertaining." And, generally, the return on those games is higher than the 97.87% we would get by playing the standard 9/5 DDB games offered in our casinos.
