Just wow... I hope they come back to make more seasons with them two as one of the main plots. Maybe Jack (The new God) coudn't actually bring Cass back becuase The Empty is using all it's power to keep him there out of spite or for a deeper purpose and Jack just told Bobby that Cass was helping build and restore Heaven as a coverup until Jack-God figures out how to really bring Cass back. Maybe Chuck-God from the past can have a little influence to the future where he isn't God and be able to bring back Dean to the point after he died if Dean promises to help Human Chuck and pick up from there in the time-line.
