@UnaFatsaUnaRasta22 Josip Simunic was born, raised, trained and nurtured in Australia but went to play for Croatia because they were ranked higher. He was in the Croatian side that was bundled out of the 2006 World Cup by the Socceroos. The lesson is that your nationality is what it is, if you sell it for cheap success, you risk getting egg on your face. By all means pick your club based on success, but your nationality is part of who you are, you don't trade it for an easy win.

@frazschmidt We don't NEED Bouzanis to play for us. Georgios Samaras had the choice to play for Greece or Australia, but since he had his heart set on Greece, he chose to represent us. Your right Bouzanis should play for Australia, but he shouldn't consider himself Greek because he is a fucking disgrace. I'm 100% Greek living in America since I was 2, and I wouldn't think twice of which side I would represent. I would play 1 match for Greece rather than play in the World Cup with the US.

He was born and bred in australia, so probably he feels he has stronger ties with australia than greece. I'd do the same too if I were him.

IT dont matter where your from... the people who feed you, the Land that feed you, the land that loved you, the land that looked after you is important... they day we forget that, Australia will become a country like every other shithole on this earth. Let make sure we fight for her before we fight each other brothers. Dosnt matter you colour, cast or religion. Im indian origan, and to me it will always be " Aussie Assie Assie, Oi Oi OI."

@lsbhutta If you stayed in India you wouldn't be saying this. Also, If India actually had a soccer team to begin with, and competed in tournaments, most likely you wouldn't be saying this.

@armaldog well australia kinda sucks at football, mate. Greece is ranked much higher and get to play in the European and World Cup. I mean, if I was in his position and had dual citizenship I would obviously choose the better team, and the better team is Greece. Especially with the many young stars rising from there.

@UnaFatsaUnaRasta22 Mate I think your attitude really says more about the country you live in than anything else. Here, you can be an Australian without forsaking your heritage. Yes Bouzanis should play for Australia. Why? Because he's Australian and considers himself Australian. He was born and raised here and has never known anything else, of course he does. To call him a disgrace because of that is just pathetic. Get over it.

Greece is a better national team than Australia. Let's get that straight.

who cares about bouzanis??well, everyone knows he is talented but there are many more talented young greek goalkeepers. he can not be compered to Kapino or Kostas Lamprou of feyenoord. good luck in Australia Dean, but even if you wanted you dont have the skills to play in the Greek squad. there are at least 10 keepers better than you....
