I never thought more of the connection or let's say the "bond" between Dean and Castiel being anything more than the bro-mance/friend type. So I honestly didn't get why people shipped them. Then I went back to (Caughs) Netflix rather recently and binged-watched season 1-11 and then for kicks watched the 12 season episodes leading up to the newest episode airing who knows when tonight... Anyways... I just want to say... Since I went back and started over again... I saw in them something I didn't see before. I knew they were friends for sure but I know now that the connection goes beyond family or love. It's an intimate examination of two beings no matter their differences finding strength in each other's faults and who genuinely love, protect and respect each other. A pair that so obviously needs one another and to go to bat for them when they feel they've lost everything and everyone. So yes, I see the Destiel in them! It's obvious especially when watching alone, with headphones preferably and maybe sometimes in the dark. LMAO! So yeah... Long drawn out point to this insane amount blabbering... Congratulations on turning another non shipper over to the great abyss of being a die hard Destiel fan and wanting the 'would be' relationship to be canon. But let's face the cold, hard facts of it all... No matter how ugly, demented or sad it may be... The only way the pairing would exist is if the writers made Cas a female once again! Meaning new female vessel! Meaning new character, new actress and our beloved Misha leaves us! (Curls up and dies at the thought!) But if that were to happen, due to a clever story line about Castiel paying the Cosmic consequences for what he did to Billie then of course everyone would accepting and okay with the Destiel ship. Which sucks because it's saying so many unspoken words about the whole 'gay, bi or whatever' scenes between them that the writers have been baiting us with for so many miserable, agonizing years! So to wrap this up... "I'm a Destiel fan, and I'm proud of it."
