Don’t know why it took me this long to notice, but the clip I used for season 4, is actually from season 5. Sorry about that. But if you’re wondering, there is no difference between his voice from those two seasons, so I guess I’m in the clear. But, again, my mistake.

I remember Jensen saying he intentionally lowered his voice after dean went to hell because he wanted it to be because he screamed A lot there

I believe Jensen intentionally made his voice a little deeper in earlier seasons to pay homage to Jeffrey Dean Morgan but as the seasons progress, his voice naturally went deeper.

@@kevinfulla Yes, that it is why. I believe he explained that once at a fan panel. He stared lowering his voice in season 4, and then he said that because his natural voice started getting lower as he aged, he had to keep lowering Dean’s, too.

That's funny I was just thinking how I noticed his voice got deeper as the seasons progressed, I definitely noticed it after he came back from hell. My assumption was that the experience in hell made him more somber/damaged, thus his tone lowered.

Yeah, except he’s whining 90% of the time, it actually got kind of annoying as well as cringe 💀💀
