I can see both points of this. But he does show big respect while he taps, he is careful, describing and being careful, at the same time I can see how people find it disturbing. But no ones is destroying anything, no one is actually being rude or disrespectful. Most likely there is no relatives left, it doesn’t look like that (or no one care fo them). And maybe this is the first time in a longtime anyone actually visit just those gravestones, now we are thousands of people thinking of these peoples in the grave. They are brought back “to life” in our thoughts.

Personally, I think it’s nice to shed some light on tombstones that most likely don’t get as many visitors. The ones shown were from long ago. As a side note, the little stones are likely due to having less money than those with larger tombstones, animals are not typically buried among humans in graveyards.

Imma keep it real...he didn’t go to a modern cemetery. I live around the same area as him and there are a lot of historical graveyards/cemeteries where there are historical sections where the only visitors are people who come in to do the paper and crayon grave rubbing thing. If he was in a modern cemetery and was visiting people who died within recent years with fresh flowers on their graves, then sure, super rude...but these people who passed in 1900 are not getting visitors.

there is a very old and historic cemetery in my town. amazing place. i go frequently just to look around. i don’t touch anything and try to avoid stepping on graves but when the graveyard is older and has less order, it’s hard to not. i go to just read the graves and look around at the scenery. i really don’t think there’s anything wrong with this. it’s also a historic cemetery so no family will be there. the graves are from the 1800s and it’s with good intentions.

at first i was a bit sceptical and afraid that this would go into the wrong direction (aka the "goth" that danced on graves lmao) but i was pleasantly surprised! you were respectful in the way you treated the gravestones (being gentle, pointing out what you like about them, thanking them after you were done tapping). you also chose old gravestones, which i liked for two reasons: it ensures nobody sees you tapping on the grave on their recently passend grandma and gives some love to the gravestones that aren't visited often! and while i can see how people could find this video disturbing and disrespectful, i have to agree with the people that think this is an oddly wholesome way to honor the death. and if anything, dean isn't disturbing them, he is only tapping them into further peace! :>

There’s reasons this isn’t illegal.don’t get me wrong, people are sensitive about different things and that’s fine but please click off if your not interested or get offended. He gave a tw at the start, he isnt saying anything offensive(he was saying thank you and saying he was trying to be respectful ab it)personally I wouldn’t care if someone was tapping my tomb stone(I’m dead ffs, I would literally be a corpse getting eaten by bugs in the ground). so i live right by a cemetery and let me tell u first going there i had the stigma in my mind that it’s “creepy” or bad to be going there, but as time went on i grew on to it . i could get out alone (wether i rly needed to get out of my house or just needed some fresh air) and look at all the stones dating all the way back to 1790 !! i’ve done research on some of these people and have really admired a lot of them . now bc of the dumb snow i haven’t been there in a bit and tbh it makes me feel bad ... almost like i left that small cemetery alone for a while . no one ever visits it either :(

8:36 an anchor on a tombstones represents Hope and Steadfast. Usually, the tombstones with anchors on it means that the person who died was a sailor. 10:31 people get different size gravestones because not everyone can afford the big ones. The huge fancy gravestones with all the pretty details are super expensive. (Gravestones can get up to $30,000+) Not everyone is super rich so they will just settle with a small gravestone.

No one is going to do anything with a dead person's name. I respect the dead as much as the next guy, probably more than I respect the living, but I don't see how this is disrespectful. To everyone saying that what he did was disrespectful: •He tried to show some respect to the dead people. •You guys are saying he should’ve done his reasearch, but not much people even do that. Even if he did I’m guessing your comments of him being disrespectful wouldn’t even change much. •At least these graves are being seen, I’m assuming half of them don’t get visited anymore because of how old it is. Gravestones dont often get much visitors.
