Saw QOTSA live for the first time ever last night in London, Ontario after being a fan for over 20 years. It was absolutely phenomenal, Josh is channeling some major Jim Morrison vibes in his performances. I was lucky and they played Straight Jacket Fitting, he always jumps into the crowd when they play that one, walks around, hugs everyone and is just vulnerable and one with the experience. If you're reading this and have the chance to see them live this tour, don't think twice!

I didn’t know Amsterdam was a tuff crowd, it’s well known they are always talking during concerts, that’s true. I was there, I am from Holland. Thought it was a pretty perfect night. So perfect, I drove to Antwerp the week after to catch another show. There is something special about this album and tour. The band is different, but the crowd is also different. I loved the Queens when I was 20. Now I am over 40. But there is some sort of renewed old love going on right now. And yeah, I was also somebody that had to listen to the new record 5 times first to get to that atmosphere. But that was in retrospect with every Queens album. And with every album I ever began to love so dearly. This week I am listening to the audiobook of Lanegan, while reading the book. What a life! I wrote about it. So his life hit me. Oh and Bowie, it’s so Homme. ‘Easier said than Done.’ I am so sure Bowie would have loved that. That’s one of the reasons I love Josh, he does so much with his voice and teeth and lips. That’s a fine- tuning sort of singing. And above that, I love that sincere smile, just like yours Dean. Great conversation. Ps. Through this album I found the first ones back too. And yes, “Like Clockwork” I found back as the most prettiest of them all. This is my shortest version, whilst listening to this I had something to say about every topic. Thanks for the tickeling of my mind! Oh and if I were on that tourbus, I am sure that there will be no sleep at all. There is just so much to talk about and discuss. Beauty and darkness, pain and pleasure. Music-what a hell of a beauty ride -it is. No bus bunkers needed at all. So better not invite me I guess. Haha. Have a nice day dear people!

Name any other rock band that has consistently been at such a high level for decades. They don't even have a bad song. I kind of feel like they don't get their due. Maybe they're a little too dark to be more widely accepted / recognized as one of the all time greats. I don't get it. Great episode. Mark forever.
