The mixing board techs helped there. Since it's a live recording they had to anticipate how much reverb and echo to add. Beautiful sound. Her sonic wail before that note may have pegged the mix so they weren't quite perfect at twiddling the knobs, but wow indeed. There's no one quite like her in the way she can control her overtones. Maybe Lalah Hathaway.

@@covers_girl first off, she ate it up, secondly all this girl did was hit one 3 second note, and lastly, ur right, Mia shouldn't have won, but I feel like the other guy who was in the instant save should have. But dont do my girl Mia like that when Mia can hit these low notes & lower when This girl can barely hit anything higher, but the other guy who sang actually had range and technique.
