Sometimes I can’t imagine how artists/celebs/famous personalities must feel not having any content to put or update on their sns like it’s their responsibility to do so. It must feel so weird and emptying telling the world almost everything about your life. But again, we can’t take that out - not in this age. Everything is business, they say. The media would play things around too much to provide themselves good content and I think this makes fans expect excessively. Just imagine having everyone’s eyes on you, whatever you do! But if we think about it, non-celebs (ordinary people) have it hard, too. We usually get too pressured from the ‘superficial lives’ we see from the people we admire/follow thinking that what we have in our lives right now cannot be compared with theirs just ‘cause it seems more interesting or beautiful. So I guess the easiest thing to say (and do) when we’re feeling lonely and empty living in the social media world is to live in the real world. Nothing is better than the real stuff, anyway!

This song sounds like it's yet another way to symbolize depression. Just as things like Instagram. If you are suffering from this mental illness, and have seen how sensationless, numb, boring, empty life can be. We felt this jealousy and envy looking at others live life. Just watching them from a sideline, and never able to enjoy it yourself. Just staring, and wondering what it's like, to feel what they feel. Many people think the opposite of depression is happiness. That's not it at all, it's Vitality, it's vividness. Wanting to feel alive. Watching the people around you. You are so right. Depression is my reality, and I felt like this song is also pointing to the illness. Especially the part about being alone even when you're with a lot of people. Like, just that statement right there is loneliness in it's truest form. Life to me and many others feels meaningless, empty, and boring, yes, and I personally have been feeling really jealous of my friend's lives, they are all collected and they really do take their happiness for granted. Or maybe not happiness, but vitality. I wake up everyday wondering if someday my will to live will magically reappear. And this song is honestly something that I resonate with, because it makes me realize how much I'm depending on certain things for happiness, since I can't be happy on my own anymore.

The way he laughs at the end is so impactful. Especially how he does it then goes straight-faced so easily. Like, we only see the life that people want us to when below the surface, things may be completely different. I love Dean and I love the works of his mind. I support him in all he does, but I hope he doesn't feel suffocated by us or this lifestyle. I hope he never loses the love he has for making music. He's so humble, and worth so much and so many love him. He's so inspirational and so special and I hope he continues to shine because he's just such a gem. Dean’s expression is amazing. From the middle of the song it seems the screen sinking like the sea and the lyric says ‘in the square ocean’ in english. He expressed SNS (Social Network Service like facebook, twitter, instagram) as the information of the ocean. Also in korean it sounds like ‘in my foolish ocean’, and you can hear the sinking sound. Then while the narration says ‘sometimes I feel alone’, he intended to reflect my own face on my black blank screen. At the last part he laughs crazily then straights his face, which means he has to act happily even when he’s not happy

I would listen to it like that if I ever left my house. But alas, I don't, so I just listen in my room. I can tell I'm about to go off on a tangent. What even is the meaning of life? At least in the way it's fed to us. Money, riches, fancy lifestyles. What's the point of any of it if you aren't truly happy? I can barely sing lol but I want to start writing songs even if I'll never release them but simply so that I can speak my mind in an artistic way. Well don't worry, everyone has something else that makes them happy.. but personally I don't think there is some "true" happiness, just normal moments, when you don't feel sad are enough for me, hehe. So if you are unhappy with your life at the moment, first just try to change something small, no need to rush and turn you life upside down in one day, it probably wouldn't have the effect anyway (just from my experience :D). Maybe try to write one song for now, if you like it! :)

First, I wasn´t into this song that much, I even thought that it was so shallow to use instagram as a metaphore to express loneliness. But when the visuals came together with the song I understood right away how similar human beings process depression and isolation inside their heads. I got chills. I hope you get better and find new people who can fulfill your needs - whatever that might be. But in the end, its not all that bad - after all, what makes every artist so unique are those deficits and your reaction to them.
