Would you be able to explain how to do the finger strumming in a bit more detail. Which part of the finger do you hit the strings with? I'm really struggling to get it to sound even remotely close. Thank you so much for the tutorial :)

It's the part under your little finger you mute with. But pay attention how close to the bridge he is muting. That is essential.

The thing is I realised that this isn't the technique being used in the real song. It's actually closer to the technique that John Mayer uses for Stop This Train.
