Dungarees! I havent heard them called that in ages! I was born and raised in Canada, and here people generally call them overalls. My parents are European so they call them dungarees. Nobody in my family has worn them in years, though, so I haven't heard that term in quite a long time. Ah, nostalgia lol.

You're awesome. And I think you picked the right hat. Our manhole covers look different here in the US. Growing up there was a manhole cover a block away on a very steep hill. When standing on it you could hear the water rushing underneath. I loved the sound!!

Oh my God I love you so much hahaha. The drain thing was a major issue when I was at school... Altho it was the perfect excuse to shove your friend across the pavement cus then you could just shout "3 drain!!!" And they were grateful :-) lol. I Love the dungarees. Bring them back!!! In my group of friends, it's only unlucky to stand of 3 drains if you don't say toast at the same time... Or in other words you have to walk over a 3 drain and say toast... I get strange looks from my dad when I'm walking along with him in my conversation and say toast out of context ... But it's force of habit now xD

In high school in like year 7/8 there was a thing in my school where you couldn't walk under the one of those sign things near my school and since then I've always found myself avoiding them despite being (technically) a fully fledged adult now! It's so weird. I don't really do it for superstitious reasons though, just out of a habit I picked up ~10 years ago.

Oh my days I've never heard of anyone else with the 3 drain superstition!! I've avoided them for as long as I can remember! My dad tries to pull me onto them when I'm walking down the street with him, so I end up being a 24 yr old walking down the street with her dad holding onto the sleeve of her coat while she does a crazy jumpy thing all over the place to avoid the drains!

Hey Tom so I just heard you guys are coming to Sydney! You have no idea how excited this makes me, i have been waiting 8 years to see you guys live. Mcfly was the first band me and my mum bonded over, so seeing you guys live was always going to be our thing, and seeing you as McBusted will be even better, however I cannot justify the price of a 1D ticket to only see you guys perform a handful of songs, only being a uni student with a part time job, which has completely bummed me out... We have drains in the streets herr in Sweden, with letters on them. K stands for Kärlek (love) and you have to say your loved ones name 3 times so you dont bring bad luck. And A just means Bad Luck (not really but no one wanna walk over them) :)

I never go over the three things but I thought going under the signs was bad luck so if you ever do that you have to spin round to prevent the bad luck (also the thicker hat was a good choice because it's snowing)

I was told if you ever accidentally go over three manholes to reverse the bad luck you have to jump on the spot, clap, and say 'toast'. But yes I'm the only one I know that does the magpie thing, thankfully I have long hair so I can just pretend I'm moving it out of my eyes .
